  1. When having problems its best to try and track down the source. Have you tried JUST this mod in a 1.7.2 server? See if you can get the mod to work? Yes then add one mod at a time till you find the conflict and make a decision. Either add world edit first or last and try the mod without WE just to make sure. Conflicts can take time to resolve and hunt down but a step by step process will help.
  2. What you said. I looked at the pastebin log and the only thing I would disagree with is optifine. That program and me DO NOT get along at all.. So I would say pull it as well but thats a personal choice the editing of that chunk comment you made is a good one
  3. @mauiman First. You're following instructions for a single player option. I for one haven't used that type of "instruction" set in a very long time. Anything directly into the minecraft.jar file by hand has so much potential for issues if you aren't careful. Second the link you gave in the first post shows that the project is INACTIVE aka dead, not being used or touched. Last post to the forum was in 2012 so I'm going to assume that's a fact. Also 2012.. means its a 1.4.7, 1.5 or 1.6.4 plugin and you don't mention what version of MC your trying to run this on. Please verify the version of MC this should run on and then try the instructions but with no support and the dev marking the project inactive your best bet is to let it go IMHO @technikky Please don't double post, you did twice and the forum mods will get upset. Also be helpful when you can saying "You don't know what your doing" is not helpful. Thanks

  6. Thanks PlowMan.. I have backups, I do hourly right now during beta testing so I can roll back at least 5 times before the crash. I just wanted to learn how to fix this and since it's a beta server. I figure why not Thanks again!
  7. So due to serious weather the power went out abruptly while I was at work and then the UPS died. This means the Server shutdown hard and unhappily. While the server came back up the game itself won't. Pasted below is the link to the pastebin file but my "assumption" is I have a corrupt chunk. Can someone take a peek at the log and confirm and provide suggestions, besides world wipe/reset. I know its a beta test and we have to do it eventually but figure thats also a good time to learn.   8. I was unable to find a link to your pack. Can you please post a link to the pack so that we can take a peek at it and try to assist you. A quick glance doesn't tell me much other than that error is possibly two mods arguing against who's on first. (IIRC assertionErrors when args are called but the programmer refused to accept them (aka zero-args).

  10. So your saying if I constantly update my mod pack I'd get on the tekkit page but since I have a semi-stable pack and am happy with it I won't ever see it up there
  11. Please provide confirmation of "only legit" options.. AS the DMCA, as I read it, says you can't distribute the source, bps patches, or do any work on it. At NO point do I see something that says every server own out there should shutdown their servers right now. I can't find the original link but here is a good summary, IMHO of the whole scene.   13. Technic Crashing - Frustrating Changing Settings that you possibly don't understand - annoying. Not using Pastebin to provide logs for the help you need - priceless.
  14. Still need a link to the mod pack download file location so we can look at the mod pack. This is not the technic link, which helps, but we need the original zip file.
  15. Lets start with the hammering of your doing one site for an icon Caused by: net.technicpack.launchercore.exception.DownloadException: The server issued a 504 response code. Hundreds of attempts.. You are also missing a lot of files, users, installed packs, Seems like your technic launcher is a huge problem. Fix the launcher, possibly a ccomplete reinstall with no changes to it AND as I stated in my last post. Put FORGE not the installer into your mod pack. Fix those and then ask for help again. You still have the installer in your mod pack.
  16. I'm sure you will get tons of folks jumping out to help when you offer pay. My suggestion would be the following. A) why do you want 1.5.2? support and even getting it working should prove an intersting challenge. When you mention mods you should do some of the work. IE find the mod authors web site and links to the files or provide a way to get them from you if you have a 1.5.2 that needs to be "technic" setup. You should also pastebin any errors and provide a download link for the pack so we can help you look at it.

Say COFH CORE 1.0 with MOD 1.1 or something. (EXAMPLE ONLY).. Please make sure you got all your mods from the authors web site or a legit source, such as curse, and then make sure the CORE matches the MOD version. Also make sure your not trying to load CLIENT side mods into the SERVER itself that can cause that error as well.

Okay now that we have all that out of the way... The first error you need to fix is the missing files. [b#282] 2015/02/28 14:05:42 [iNFO] [14:05:42] [Client thread/ERROR]: Using missing texture, unable to load minecraft:textures/blocks/MISSING_ICON_BLOCK_726_deactivatedCageTrap.png, java.io.FileNotFoundException LOTS of those are in tyour paste log. Missing files.. lots of them... Then doing a bit more digging on the GL error and FRAME BUFFER error in your logs it would appear your video card drivers are having issues. So, new computer, new drivers, or non-updated or plain jane drivers.. 1) Fix the missing files 2) find out what kind of video card you have and make sure the drivers are current and from the vendor/manufacture not some random 3rd party. Do those two things then post again and someone, possibly even me if I'm around again later tonight, will be able to help you.

  21. Pastebin your logs and provide a link here on the Technic site to your mod pack for reference. Consider renaming the files in your modpacks folder. Linux admins hate special characters and spaces as Linux has to do work arounds on them. Put the FORGE version in the right folder named modpack.jar NOT the installer file.
  22. Not that I'm aware of. We had problems with it when we didn't have TC.
  23. First thing I notice is that your mods are named funny. I can't check them all so 2 things.. 1) Make sure you go them from the author, Curse, or a legitmate site. 2) consider renaming them so they work for folks like me who use linux. I can work around the brackets and spaces but linux dislikes them. As far as the rest, from my eyes but I'm by no means the expert, you seem to be doing okay. I do notice there is no 1.7.x folder that contains some of the core files. Like your Code Chicken core is at the root mods folder not in the sub folder.
  24. So I wasn't sure where to official post this question. I figure this was the safest place to start thought and if not please move it My daughter and her friends want a small server with a few mods for just a few people. I already have one mod pack on here and can do a second but wanted to check some rules that I can't confirm or deny. If I take the tekkit lite mod pack and remove a couple of mods as long as I give credit to tekkit and still have the proper mod permissions could I make a mod pack of it? Same question but say I take our 2 and add 2 different? Thanks <got my own answer from another poster> Thanks!
  25. The ONLY problem I have with spigot is no forge based Mods. So you get Plugin's or Mods. Cauldron was the perfect solution till the DMCA. Now we all wait in purgatory hoping something comes along. I like some of the talk on Sponge but some comments are good and some concern me. I won't cross link in here but you can google it
