Have you tried Tekkit Classic Reborn? It's basically almost the same as tekkit classic, and you can do pretty much everything the same, but there's new stuff from 1.7.10 and other things like that. It expands upon the original and I would highly recommend it for players of tekkit classic with decent computers.

Well, I have a mod called joypad mod which I would adore in classic, but optifine is not compatible with that mod. I have no idea how to remove optifine. If anyone knows how, contact me.
