So i used dropbox, but now i'm getting complaints about dropbox having bandwidth restrictions. Users can't download my modpack and I don't want to keep changing it. I decided to self host my modpack and successfully have gotten players to download the modpack directly from my server. http://teenie.onthewifi.com:8081/modpack.zip I tested this link and it works just like dropbox. It downloads the modpack by just clicking on it. I placed this link in the modpack location and it accepted it. I am however getting complaints about the modpack download not working. Please Hope this is the right place for this. I really don't want to get banned. Guess my question is, what could be the problem?

I don't have the same problem running that modpack. I have had to delete the entire .technic folder at times when i couln't find a fix. It means you would delete all of your modpacks and installation of the technic launcher. I would find your waypoints if you set any in any modpacks since these would also be deleted. I would only do this as a last resort. It is not enough to just uninstall the technic launcher. It is better to just delete the .technic folder. It will prompt you for what directory to install the technic launcher again once you try to run it. I have had it happen when it bugs out like this and i can't get any modpack to work. I don't see anything in the log that would cause such a error. Please let me know if this works. By the way, were you ever able to run modpacks? You can also just cut and paste your .technic folder to your desktop for later review.

Check your logs folder. paste here "fml-client-latest" Also make sure you add at least 2gig of ram to the launcher. Does it do this too when you launch vanilla minecraft?

For example: no squids spawn anywhere, you have to find a shell creature in certain water source to get ink sacks. Also ink sacks are very important if you know where to look. go to your %appdata% or modpacks folder. Look for your Crash Reports such as in this location. This is where my location would be at, but your user would be different. Find your modpack folder. Just by looking in the crash reports you may get an idea of why the modpack is crashing. C:\Users\Daddy\AppData\Roaming\.technic\modpacks\hardvanilla\crash-reports

The server is not loading the mods. For some reason the server is running as a vanilla server.

I have had to at times backup all my modpacks or things that i would need and completely delete the technic folder. It will force the technic launcher to be reinstalled and has worked for me at certain last resort issues. I would first try saving and deleting their .dat or player files from the server and having them try and log in first. Also i would check and make sure they are logging into a world that is available. if you deleted a world while he was in it, but logged off, it would give him that error when he tried to log into a world that did not exist anymore.

pixelmond requires you to install a preloader of such to force players to personally download the mod and install it manually. read their forums. If you just install pixelmon into the modpack you will be able to run it, but will not be able to open your inventory when you log in, SMP or single player. Just name it modpack if you are unable to see other jar files extensions with .jar If your file extentions are hidden, then you won't be able to see the .jar and adding a .jar to the modpack file will cause it to be called. modpack,jar.jar

The only thing that goes into the flan's folder is flan's mods or content packs as such. Flan's folder is where you put flan's mods, nothing else goes in there. do not put flan's mods into the mods folder. The only flan's mod that goes into the mods folder is the original flan's mod. Since it's a 1.7.10 modpack, nothing should go into the coremods folder. All the mods go into the mods folder, core and normal. Exception would be like flan's mod.
