  1. Hi! OneDrive is now supporting direct download links and has a very generous bandwidth limit too. However, Technic does not yet support these kind of links (example; https://onedrive.live.com/download?cid=8D5AD68C4BAB4313&resid=8D5AD68C4BAB4313!2499&authkey=ADUhnPki_00GXsU). Please add support for these. Thanks!
  2. Alternative link if clicking on the image above doesn't work. Join the Official Yao Pack server! The server is is already added to your server list within the Yao Pack, so you don't need to enter any IP. The rules are simple, use common sense! Don't grief , steal or raid people unless you've come to an agreement. Don't build too close to other people unless they've given you permission to do so. Try to not lag or crash the server, don't use cheats and so on... Please be nice. Let's try make this an enjoyable experience for everyone. Due to popular demand, I've created an "official" server for the Yao Pack modpack. The server is up 24/7, and is not whitelisted (although I highly recommend joining the Yao Pack Discord server so that we can get to know you some if you decide to join!). The world is never reset, and the server is running SpongeForge. It has some plugin features like /home and /spawn. Other than that, I've tried my best to keep it as close to default Yao Pack as possible. There are no banned items but, as stated earlier, use common sense. The community is small but closely tied together. Nearly all who play know each other through the Yao Pack Discord server, so I'd highly recommend you join it and say hi! Screenshots
  3. Thanks! I'll try it out Edit: It works!!
  4. Yeah, but seeing that it's been 4 days since it was made... it feels a bit odd.
  5. Are you playing the same version of Minecraft on both vanilla and in Technic Launcher?
  6. Hello! I made a new modpack a couple days ago, and since then me and a few others have downloaded and played the modpack on a private server. Still, no "downloads" or "runs" are visible at the modpack page? It feels a bit odd, considering we're at least 5 people who have downloaded the modpack and we've played it many times already. Is Technic just slow or is there something else going on? This is the modpack I'm speaking of. Thanks for clearing it up. - Henriko
  7. So, I recently changed the name of my modpack completely, and I am very happy with how everything looks right now. The only issue is that the URL for the modpack hasn't changed from before, and it still contains the old modpack name! Is it possible to change it? Or do I have to live with it forever? Thanks in advance. - Henriko
  8. What is the 'Yao Pack' you may ask? Well, it's a collection of all my favorite mods, in one modpack! If you have played Tekkit Legends or Tekkit, you will be quite familiar with this modpack! The pack includes community favorites such as: RailCraft [Improve your rails beyond belief and much more!] IndustrialCraft 2 [Now industrial, think "Tekkit Classic"!] GalactiCraft [Travel to space!] Tinker's Construct [Make your own custom tools by combining your already exisiting ones] Red Power [Auto-Crafting and more!] RedLogic [Timers, Filters & more!] Twilight Forest [An entirely new dimension to explore and conquer!] Thermal Expansion [New upgrades, tech and electronic mechanisms. Unleash the power of Thermal Expansion!] Iron Chests mod [Larger chests] Pam's HarvestCraft [Over 1100 new foods and items!] Applied Energistics 2 [Make storage systems like never before!] BuildCraft [Quarries, Transportation Pipes and more!] Flans Modern Weapons [Kill your targets with style!] Decocraft 2 [Tons of new decorations, both items and models!] Blood Magic [Make powerful spells and items with blood!] Minimap [Keep track of where you are at all times!] And also some of my personal favorites! The Weather 2 mod [Tornados, Cyclone, Hail, High Wind, Weather Deflectors etc] Thaumcraft [An expansive magic mod!] Optifine [Makes the game run better, no cons!] Mekanism [Tons of cool machinery!] NEI and Waila [Find items and recipes much faster!] Atum [A new desert dimension with fearsome foes and great loot!] ...And more! There is a server running Yao Pack! It's 24/7 and it's a lot of fun! Join now from within Yao Pack (the server is already added to your server list)! 9. I fixed it, I removed my .technic folder in %appdata% and now it works!
  10. Nope, didn't work either. This is really bothering me since I can't play with my friends. Any other ideas?
  11. As the title says, when I try to open the Technic Launcher for the first time it just hangs on the "Downloading Launcher Asset: Open Sans+... 0%" screen. I have tried rebooting my PC and reinstalled the software, and nothing seems to fix it. Any ideas? Specs: Nvidia GTX 970 Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 16GB Ram Latest Java 64-bit
  12. Thanks! I managed to solve it myself by uploading the file again to Dropbox (I think it got semi-corrupted a little bit?). It works now at least My Modpack is very unstable now though, and crashes frequently for no apparent reason, could you help with that too?
  13. I see, you should then try updating you Graphics Card drivers. If you have a Nvidia Graphics Card then you should be able to do so from the Nvidia Geforce Experience app (which should come with your computer). If you don't have an Nvidia Graphics card then please tell what graphics card you have.
  14. If there's nothing wrong with the modpack itself, then it has to be your graphics card drivers. Try updating them via Nvidia Geforce Experience.
  15. Yes, the error log says this has something to do with your graphics card drivers. Have you tried updating them?
  16. It's probably because of this; Pixel Format Not Accelerated This error message is commonly caused by outdated video card drivers. To fix this, you generally need to update your video card drivers. Try updating you Java, since it could also be a viable solution. Causes Graphics drivers are outdated, or they do not support required OpenGL support to run Minecraft. Invalid memory allocation, if you set any Java arguments in your Profile Settings, please remove them. On Windows 10, driver updates are automatically installed on your PC whereas previously they were optional. Sometimes the drivers obtained through Windows Update may not contain the proper OpenGL required for Minecraft. You should in this case update your PC's graphics driver. On first- and second- generation Intel HD graphics chipsets, a Java version below 8u60 is needed on Windows 10. ; Please tell me your OS as well.
  17. Attached Files don't work, could you please upload the log to pastebin or something similar?
  18. Could you specify the exact modpack you're trying to launch? Could you also tell what OS you're on, and your graphics card provider?
  19. This can be solved by going into the Technic Launcher, selecting 'Launcher Settings' and 'Java Settings'. From there you can select how much RAM you want allocated. If this doesn't work, make sure you have updated Java and that your Java version is 64-bit and not 32-bit (which is the default download for some strange reason?). You can download the latest version of Java 64-bit here; http://javadl.oracle.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=211999 * If this worked, please like my comment so that my reputation increases, it means a lot!
  20. Huh, that really sounds like it's a driver issue then. Could you tell me the name of your Graphics Card? Have you also tried the thing I posted earlier?
  21. Hello! I've been working with modpacks for quite some time now, and everything has gone well until today, when I tried to update my modpack yet again (I've done that multiple times before). I pasted the new modpack URL into my modpack settings, saved and went into the Technic Launcher where I tried to install the update for my pack - it didn't work. It just gave me this error after a few seconds! Modpack URL: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/1xvcwtvwss1e2h4/YaoPackExtreme1.2.3.zip?dl=1 Error log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kq87ng6gnee24p3/techniclauncher_2016-07-21.log?dl=1 I've never encountered something like this before, and I've tried to fix it by changing some things in the download URL, such as replacing 'www' with 'dl' and 'dropbox' with 'dropboxusercontent', and reinstalling the entire pack! I don't know which other host to use, since I have always been using Dropbox for hosting modpack files. I even tried to upload the file to another Dropbox account! The recommended Copy.com site is no longer available, so I am really lost right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. EDIT: I tried to switch back to an older update of the pack (though I generated a new URL for that one), it didn't work either. ~Henriko
  22. I am having big trouble right now, I can't seem to be able to install and download my newly updated modpack because of this error; I've done just as I always have when uploading and copy-pasting the URL, and I've tried to solve it using many methods - of which none have worked. A more detailed error description here:
  23. hehe, yeah like what Windows version are you on - is what I tried to ask. You can try to disable default fullscreen by doing this, since many people have experienced crashes with that when using mods; Try turning off full-screen manually: Open the start menu in Windows and, in the search bar, enter '%appdata%'. Look for the '.technic' directory in the search results. Open it, and open the 'modpacks' folder, find your respective modpack folder in there and open it. Find the 'options' file; it should have items on each line, such as Clouds:False and graphics: fancy. Find the line labeled fullscreen. If the value to the right of the colon says true, replace it with false. Save and close the file. Try running Minecraft again. I can't guarantee this will work though, since you have not actually successfully managed to start the pack at all even once. Good luck!
