As a computer technician, personally, they look about the same as far as there capabilities, but having said that, I would go with the ASUS,I wouldn't be to worried about DDR4 RAM, because it's just a more efficient form of memory than DDR3, And don't worry about the graphics card in either, there about the same, if not exactly. (the ASUS's GPU is slightly faster in core speed, while the Acer's GPU is just an updated version to support DirectX 12, and to support the new DDR 4 RAM) Here's a comparison on the GPU's The Acer's GPU The ASUS GPU But to answer your question the're both fairly decent with the heavier modpacks, but i wouldn't expect 60 FPS all the time. The reason i'd go with the ASUS, is because it comes with a 1 TB hard drive, more than you'll ever need if you just plan on modding, or gaming in general. (although, i would upgrade to a SSD if you can help it purely for long-term data security) while the Acer only has a 250Gb drive it dose cost a bit extra, but in the computer world, you get what you pay for.. In short, Go for the ASUS

Working on my first officially released modpack, centered around exploration, and magic (typical modpack tropes). But, i would like to involve the community in helping it grow, by requesting mods to add on to this theme. Get it here (I would also like to thank AetherPirate for helping out with technical stuff that plagues early pack makers like myself, I can't thank you enough for it)

Okay, it launches, but now the mods aren't initializing, as in forge isn't working, I have the most recent compatible universal in the bin folder, named it "modpack.jar ", and i got nothing Dropbox link

Okay, now I just keep getting this error message... is that something to do with dropbox, or the launcher itself? Drop Box link

So, long story short, my modpack "The Nomad", won't install properly through the launcher. I'm very new to this, and have no idea what might be causing it, or even where to look It starts to install mods in the progress bar, then quits abruptly at 49% every time and won't do anything else Install link Console feedback for the DL

Just downloaded the latest version of Technic, but when i trey to launch it, all i get is the windows loading circle above the mouse, and that's it, nothing else happens. I have Windows 8.1, but i doubt that's the reason
