  1. This may not exactly be the right place to put this but whatever. Recently I made a modpack and hosted it using Apex Hosting. Everything was going well til on the second day I lagged out and was booted from the server. Now, I am completely unable to rejoin. I am however, able to join other servers using other modpacks. I have reinstalled techic, restarted my router and restarted my computer and still I am unable to join. My friends who were playing on the server with me are still able to join however. This problem seems to be isolated to me. The people over at Apex Hosting as nice as they are seem to be unable to figure out why I am not able to connect to my own server, so I am hoping one of you may have had some experience with a problem like this.
  2. I noticed that when ever I leave a world and rejoin it, my skin is reset to the default Steve, and doesn't revert back to my custom skin til I die. Is this a known problem with 1.7.10? How do I go about fixing this.
  3. Followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yf9SI13Ul2w Followed it perfectly but when I go to install my modpack I get an error: I don't know why it is looking for a file named after the pack itself when that wasn't in the tutorial. What do I do. Edit: Link to my modpack: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/sables-second-test-pack.811991 I am certain now that the problem is DropBox. Even when I try changing the 0 at the end of the link to 1 I am getting this error. Are there any other websites that I can use to host my modpack? Now I believe that the Technic Platform isn't working. I believe that the "update modpack" option isn't working and thus isn't saving my mod location link. The reason I say this is earlier tonight I tried this process and the error I encountered was that my download percentage was negative and in the thousands. The solution I figured was changing the end of the url from 0 to 1. Even though I did this the Technic program kept referring to the URL with 0 in it even though I had made the change on the website and saved it. Which implies that the changes I made on the website were not saving or being used. Maybe tomorrow things will work so for now I wont attempt to fix this since it seems that the problem isn't on my side. Update: Tried every single one of the 7 modpacks I made tonight and one of the earliest ones actually works. Decided I would test something. I copied the dropbox link from that modpack page to all of the others to see if they would then work. None of them did, even though all of them are identical.
  4. I used to play Technic - Hexxit last year and it ran relatively well, but for the life of me I cant get it to run now at all. Every mod pack seems to crash at loading giving me a "Shutting down internal server" message. Hexxit I seem to be able to run but will eventually crash. It says that Minecraft has run out of memory. Low and behold I looked at the Launcher options menu for Technic and it says Java has only 1GB of memory to work with. 1 GB being the highest. I've also noticed that when I get the internal server message is whenever Java exceeded 1Gb of memory in task manager. How exactly do I go about fixing this. Either the game is taking up too much memory, or I need to change its maximum allocated memory. Also trying to full screen the game while playing it causes Java to stop working thats cool too. I have a GTX 970, an i7 and about 12 GBs of Ram Edit: Okay, after looking around a bit on youtube it is clear that it is not normal to only have 1GB as the highest amount of RAM you can have. Now I need to figure out WHY Technic is only giving me the option of 1GB.
