  1. So I finally finished my new mod-pack Harness the Power and uploaded it here: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/harness-the-power.866716 Now I am looking for volunteers and testers. What awaits you in this pack are the big four magic mods (Thaumcraft, Ars Magica, Witchery and Botania) combined in a unique RPG mix, with lots of extra mods to keep you entertained for a long time. The goals for this mod-pack are: 1) Stability. I really hate bugs and crashes, and I think most of you do as well. So I did my best to make this pack as stable as possible and even created a few mods just for this pack if no other felt stable enough. 2) Exploration, combat, progressing and building, all should never feel dull or tedious, but instead fun and entertaining. So I gave my best to include something to make about every type of player out there happy. 3) Long-time entertainment. Frankly I don't like it if mod-packs are played through after a day or so, and then you just sit there among insane quantities of resources and have basically nothing to do anymore. Therefore I designed HTP to be slow enough so you are not done in a day, but also fast enough so you don't feel like the game is keeping you from progressing. I added tons of content that should give end-game entertainment, and several unique mods that allow you to really build anything you can imagine. Including the great Davincing mod, that allows you to build blocks pixel by pixel and paint real paintings to show to your friends. 4) Challenge. Because honestly Minecraft isn't challenging at all, and that makes it really boring after a while. I want people to be scared of mobs again, feel their hands becoming sweaty when they move through the nether or dungeons, while at the same time the game should be fair. Death should be a result of mistakes and not randomness, and all players should be able to handle what the game offers, yet feel challenged by it. And in the end there should be a tool for every problem that the player just has to find and apply properly. I'd love to get some feedback on this pack. What you like and don't like, which mods are great, which are not, and which are missing. But if you do test this, keep in mind that this is taking things slow, so if you encounter a challenge along the way, you might just not have the right tools yet to master it.
