  1. Thank you very much! Yeah, Mr. Astley and I worked very hard on this. Yeah, I saw the opportunity and I just couldn't pass it up. Thanks, by the way. I'm not sure what I'll do next. Don't worry though, I'll come up with something. Yeah, I'm not too familiar with BC/IC stuff yet, I'm still working out how things work. I did this all in Creative mode, and although the pipes and such are set up to function, there's no power source—for three reasons: 1) I originally planned to, but I wasn't sure what to do for it, 2) like I said, I'm still figuring stuff out, and 3) I didn't want to risk stuff blowing up and me having to start over Oh, and I'm looking forward to Moogle's Adventures :)
  2. Welcome to The Factory! Our main focus is the production of ingots, but we have several smaller focuses as well. This is the quarry (clearly). The materials it digs up are sorted through the mass of pipes and into their respective locations. This is the ore processing room. Ore is pumped from the quarry to 5 separate production lines, one for each type of ore. The ore is then macerated by rotary macerators, and the resulting dust is smelted into ingots—half the iron ingots that come out are smelted again into refined iron. The tube running across the room is for unwanted materials coming from the quarry, and leads to the… …Recycler room! These are the machines that turn those unwanted materials into scrap, which is pumped into the next room, the… …Mass Fabrication room! These babies are fed the scrap produced by the recyler units and turn them into UU-matter. Not much is known about this "UU-matter," except that it can be crafted into practically anything, and that it is quickly becoming the most lucrative material produced by this company! This is one of the "smaller focuses" I mentioned earlier. However, at the rate of income these babies are generating, they'll eventually become our main focus. This is the Compressor and Extractor room! These were originally to give a boost to the company's income rate. When the mass fabs were added, they quickly became unneeded, and their feeder pipes were taken down and used for the mass fabs. They are still used, but not nearly as often as before. These are the other "smaller focuses." This is the collection room! This is where all the produced materials are collected en masse and put into storage carts to be transferred to the our different stores located in the nearest village, which is very, very far away. Don't leave just yet! The tour isn't quite over yet. The second floor is where all the executive offices are (all 6 of them), as well as the… …Recycle shoots! This is pretty self-explanatory. The shoots lead to the recycler units down below. Then there are the executive offices, like I said before. First, there's my office. And before you ask, yes, the walls are in fact plated in solid gold, and yes, the desk is made out of diamond blocks. Finally, there's our Construction Coordinator's office. I'd show you the other offices, but they all look the same. And that concludes our tour of The Factory! I hope you have enjoyed your time with us today. Your vision-altering glasses are called, "Sphax PureBDCraft," courtesy of Sphax84. Before you ask questions, let me say a few things. First, I will not give you directions to The Factory [OOC: i.e. release the map], because I don't want to risk someone coming here and stealing our designs and claiming them as their own. Mr. Astley [OOC: reference to the Yogscast] worked hard designing this place—the exterior, interior, and all the piping—and would not appreciate that. I'm sorry if you want to explore this place on your own, but I do not want to put the integrity of this company at risk. Second, I will not loan you Mr. Astley, nor does he take commissions [OOC: i.e. I will not give you any tutorials on how to do stuff, nor will I help you build your own. Sorry if that comes off as harsh, but I'm not a teacher]. You'll have to find your own construction coordinator or engineer or whatever. That's how I found Mr. Astley. Google is your friend. *OOC:* Third, you may base your designs around mine/use them as inspiration, so long as you acknowledge me. Do you have trouble giving people credit where credit is due? Let me show you how easy it is: The factory floor (first floor), and the whole concept of making a factory, was inspired by Backplague's, "The Plague Corporation." And that pretty much covers it. Contructive criticism is welcome, but be kind, helpful, and specific. E.g., Rather that saying something like, "This thing is poorly made and you suck, noob," say something like this instead: "I liked the overall design of it, but there are a few things that I think should be changed…" I will do my best to answer your questions if they weren't answered already in the IC (In-character) FAQ, but don't get upset if I don't respond right away, I can't monitor this thread 24/7. This is the first big project that I've actually seen all the way through (I have ADD), and although it doesn't have a power source (it is set up to function properly), nor does it have lines of computer code like Backplague's, I'm still very pleased with it.
  3. Holy crap! That's amazing!
  4. Thank you. Yeah, those will help compact my machines. Also, does it only power wooden pipes, or does it power machines as well? I looked on the wiki, but it said it only converts IC2 to BC, so I'm not sure if I can trust it :|
  5. What are those boxes that you are using (the ones with the black and brown squares on each side)?
  6. You sir, have inspired me to make a factory of my own. Granted, it won't be quite as grandiose as yours, nor will it necessarily be all coded and stuff, but still, you should be proud you have inspired someone.
