  1. I have the same problem, which I posted here: http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/issue-2114-joining-a-server-results-in-a-really-slow-loading-time-or-disconnect-with-error/ It's pretty much the same thing that happens.
  2. Username: Bmandk Age: 18 Why Tekkitopia? Tekkitopia seems like a server that is run professionally, and it seems like there is a good community that I can play with, and hopefully contribute to. Your secret code: 6Bma Username: Age: Why Tekkitopia? Your secret code:
  3. Age: 17 IGN: Bmandk Why Do you want to Play on this Server? I haven't played Tekkit for a while, so I'm looking for a new server. This server looks active, professionally run and like something I would enjoy. It seems like the PvE part is really in focus, so I can build without having to think about people wrecking my stuff or dying randomly. What Do you want to Build? Stuff that is automated so I can brag to everyone how much stuff I have. I will try to build a lot of functional, but aesthetically pleasing.
  4. IGN: Bmandk Have you ever been banned: Once back in the good ol' alpha days. What do you plan to do on the server: I'm going to hopefully start or join a community, since it's not that fun to live alone. What is your experience level with Tekkit? I know a lot about all mods, and can't wait to do stuff with frames :D
  5. And a particle is relative since it has different sizes.
  6. That actually made me realize why most crappy games are so popular: Because the first games in their series are actually good, but then they get crappy but people still think they're good.
  7. Yeah, and that's the problems these days. There are so few creative minds today. Maybe there are a lot, but maybe they aren't noticed because internet.
  8. Oh fail ._. It was the Tekkit section. I misread it :(
  9. I usually just eat food because it's vital. Not to enjoy it. But besides that, there is a much wider variety in food than in game genres. They resemble each other too much, like MMORPG games all have pretty much the same HUD where you can put spells on actionbars and such.
  10. Am I the only one who feels like pretty much all games aren't that great? There have been very few games with twists, like Minecraft, that differs from other games. Most games nowadays are continuations from earlier (WoW, Portal, Elder Scrolls etc) or just the same genre. This is in my opinion also why Minecraft made it so big, because it wasn't so mainstream with the whole RPG/FPS thingy. I'm getting tired of almost all games since they all kinda follow the same "rules" with interfaces and such. Kinda like OS, it's all with windows and such. Would be really cool if there was a new kind of computer OS which had a really nice twist. If anyone knows about games that don't follow these standard procedures, I'd love to know about them.
  11. First off, you really should be posting in the Tekkit section. Anyways, I don't know how the new map format will work with old format. I'm guessing not very well, but if it does work, you would have to explore new areas to get all the new ores and such. You can just try and put your world in the Tekkit folder and call it world to see if it works.
  12. Lately I've been thinking: Sand doesn't stick together when it's dry. Water doesn't stick together either. But together they stick together. WTF?
  13. My first mods were IndustrialCraft and BuildCraft. I played them before they went out of beta. Me and my friend had so much fun with chainsaw fights, but we got friggin annoyed when our machines blew up 10 times in a row because of too high voltages which I didn't know about then. It was also the time when you could chose what amount of EU would go out of an MFE/BatBox from 1-64 EU/t ^^ When we heard about jetpacks we were like "HOLY SH*T! We gotta build some of those!!", and once we built them we thought they sucked because you lose way too much HP when landing because they're too hard to land with, which is still the problem today. We built a nuclear reactor without any cooling or protection or anything, just filled it up with uranium cells. We placed it inside a giant building we used days to build just for that, and everyone knows how that story goes.. This was before modloader and such, so you had to use ages to install the mods since it was all new and fancy at that time ^^
  14. I just have the problem I hate grinding. And when you have to start over quite a lot it's really hard. For instance, I lost my old Technic Pack world which I didn't have THAT much done, but still a lot of resources and such, and having to gather all those again is a pain..
  15. Well no, because the ID's are the problems, so that wouldn't work.
