A General description of your ideal playstyle and any other info: I would love to just find a semi secluded area where i can learn more about tekkit as at this point i have only done maybe one tenth of everything in tekkit. Hopefully when I am done, i can have a large complex with designated areas for the various mods.

I fixed the problem by rolling back from java 7 to java 6

what do you mean extract them to the same location? I put them both into a .rar and tried to run it but it didnt do anything? also i still have other versions of the tekkit launcher that didnt work on my computer could they hinder this from working?

No I mad sure to disable the firewall and the Anti virus. I'm just gonna wait for an update in the future that fixes the problem because until that happens I can't see this working

Launcher Version: whichever one is the newest Operating System: Windows 7 32 bit Java Version: java 7 32-bit Antivirus Program: Norton Description of Problem: I have tried many solutions to solve why this launcher wont work. I download the launcher and click on .exe version and it downloads successfully then When i click on it again it shows checking launcher version then gets stuck and goes away almost instantly. The .jar version I try to open with java but it freezes with the logo in the middle of my screen until I reboot my computer. i have checked to make sure my java version matches my OS and i have disabled my norton AV and re-downloaded and ran both .jar and .exe and still this does not work. I don't know if i forgot anything because I have spent a many hours today and yesterday trying to get this to work. If someone has any suggestions they would be extremely welcome and if there is nothing left to try I can accept that. Error Messages: Error Log:
