  1. I don't know if this is a Java issue, but whenever I try to load up the modpack "Realm of Mianite" it says this: https://prnt.sc/gs0yi4
  2. Hi, My problem is that I cant play any modpacks on my computer after i changed to Windows 10 from Windows 8. I have 8GB of RAM and have not only the latest 64bit Java and the 1.8.0_141 64bit Java. Please Help!!!
  3. Whenever i download the launcher and try to start it up, i get a blue spinning circle around my cursor, and then nothing. The launcher isn't starting up, there is no sign of it at all. I have the latest version of java and i have tried downloading the launcher multiple times.
  4. Can anyone help me figure out why I'm suddenly unable to run any minecraft modpacks? I set up a tekkit server which worked fine but then I realised tekkit is missing some of my favourite mods so I decided to make a big dig server instead. Except I couldn't get that to work and I tried all kinds of things to fix it. I eventually gave up and tried to play single player big dig only to find that wouldn't work either. And now tekkit and nuts and bolts and every other technic mod pack won't run even though they ran just fine yesterday! When I click play it has a loading bar but when the loading bar fills up minecraft doesn't open and the technic launcher window flashes. I've tried to delete everything I downloaded over the past couple of days. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 64 bit java. I've checked and my PC has 16GB of RAM, most of which isn't being used. I've checked the technic launcher settings and I've allocated it 4GB of RAM and checked that it is indeed using the 64 bit java. I've uninstalled and reinstalled minecraft. I've turned my PC off and on again lol. I'm stuck https://pastebin.com/eAJQNFh8
  5. Hi I used to use technic launcher all the time but i stopped for a while and i came back on a few months ago to use it and it wasn't loading the modpacks. I would download it and click play and the page would disappear for about 10 seconds then come back up and wouldn't start the modpack. I've updated java to the latest version and 64-bit. I've looked this up a lot but god damn i cannot find a solution. Please help! I will include the log below. techniclauncher_2017-06-16.log
  6. I am only able to run Tekkit Classic (indeed any mod pack that I've tried) with Java 32. Upon trying various versions of Java 64, I get the error message "Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working." Been unable to find a solution to this problem so far. I've attached the most recent log from the Technic Launcher. Running on Windows 7 64 bit OS 8GB RAM techniclauncher_2017-03-16.log
  7. When I try and launch tekkit legends or any other modpack I get these java filenotfoundexception errors. I have a 64 bit operating system with 16GB or RAM, a intel i5 3700k and nvidea gtx 970. I don't think it is a hardware problem. 10. Dear to whom may help , So currently friends and I have chosen a modpack to play. They've all had problems with java, ram and all the standard troubles, But my issue doesn't seem to match the normal. Everytime I click on play, it goes through standard loading procedures until it reaches the point of installing Minecraft assets. The launcher then crashes or dissapears, and proceeds to reveal itself again like I've just closed the game down. I have the launcher log attached and I hope someone can help me. I would really like to build Gastown and be a warlord to my friends . Also on a side note, I have reinstalled the launcher and modpack, deleted the cache, updated to the latest version of java twice, dedicated 4 gigs of ram and more multiple times. -Thank you for your time and consideration. techniclauncher_2017-01-30.log
  11. When i try to enter tekkit classic it gives this to me pls help pls
  12. So I have an acer Aspire V3-575G and I installed Technic to play Tekkit Classic Reborn. I ran it with 32 bit java and it loaded in about 5 minutes and when I tried to play gave me the java out of memory error. I installed java 64 bit and the load time increased to about 20 mins and it was mostly stuck on reloading resource packs. The game loaded up and was exceptionally laggy. I ran default minecraft with both and the 64 bit again was much slower. Yes I made sure to allocate more RAM to the 64 bit java.
  13. So I just got a new laptop, it's running windows 10 home, 64-bit and has 8GB of RAM, and is running the latest version of java. I installed the 64-bit launcher with the 64-bit latest version of java, it installed the modpacks just fine but whenever I launch a world it crashes. I tried downgrading the java version but it didn't work. I then tried using the 32-bit launcher, I installed the 32-bit latest version of java and it worked just fine, but right now im having problems because my minecraft is running out of memory, I know I can fix this by using the 64-bit launcher but I can't get it to launch worlds
  14. I can run Minecraft, but my allocated memory is stuck between 243m, and 247m. This causes stuttering, on a machine that can play Overwatch and HOTS on Ultra. I've done a bit of research, but am dumbfounded as to what I should be looking under\for when it comes to _Java Options. It's saying my allocated memory is locked at 256m whenenver I try to change it in minecraft.exe launcher, or the Technic launcher. At this point i am unable to launch at all from the technic launcher, as i will hit play, it will load, and download a few things, dissapear for a moment, and re appear. It's very frustrating, and I considered doing a system restore, but I don't think that would do anything, plus that's a lot of work for something that seems like an easy fix. I'm not sure where, but near the end of this string of text, is a line "[B#347] Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx256M" Which I'm unable to change. I've read online that people are having similar problems, running windows 10 and using minecraft. Something about a general application that blankets Java apps to run at 256m or 512m. I'm just curious if anyone has had experience solving this problem. Thanks so much for your time! If anyone could council me on what to do here, i'd greatly appreciate it! 15. With the next upgrade in Minecraft and Minecraft mods progressing into 1.7.2, more and more mods are dropping support for Java 6.   Before upgrading Java make sure your computer supports it by checking here: http://java.com/en/download/help/sysreq.xml   Unlike Windows and Mac, major Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Fedora or Red Hat Enterprise Linux offer OpenJDK as their default Java SE implementation.   32-bit vs 64-bit and what does it mean?   Long story short, you cannot run a computer with more memory than 4GB if you use 32-bit.   Technic recommends using 64-bit versions of Java (if supported). This allows more memory for Minecraft to use.    Questions or how to check your system can be found here:   Windows users: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/32-bit-and-64-bit-windows   Mac users: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3696    Linux users: http://stackoverflow.com/a/246014   If you are needing to upgrade your Java install, grab a copy from here http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and follow these guides:   Windows Users:   Check what version of Java your running by going here: http://java.com/en/download/uninstallapplet.jsp   Or checking your installed programs by going to: Control Panel -> Programs and Features   and following this guide: http://java.com/en/download/help/windows_offline_download.xml   Mac Users:   You have special requirements for installing/uninstalling Java on your computers   Please read CLOSELY here: http://java.com/en/download/faq/java_mac.xml   If you cannot uninstall Java 6, install Java 7 and then follow thses steps:   Next start the Java Preferences app from /Applications/Utilities Drag Java 7 to the top of the list like in the screenshot. This will make locally run Java applications use Java 7 instead of Java 6. You can uncheck the Java 6 options if you do not want them to be allowed to run. This section is for the Java runtime for local applications, and has nothing to do with the web plugin.     Linux Users:   Ubuntu and Fedora users: http://openjdk.java.net/install/   Red Hat, SUSE, Oracle, Oracle Enterprise, SLES users: http://java.com/en/download/help/linux_install.xml After you have installed Java 7, check to make sure it is installed here: http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp   Hope this helps clear things up!   EDIT: Add Mac instructions.
