Here, I made a picture-based tutorial for you.

I'm on a Mac, but it works by the same principles.

Step 1: Located modpack.jar in .technicpack/technicssp/bin and unarchive it (or open it in unarchiving software).

Step 2: Drag all the files except Readme.txt and Worldedit.jar into modpack.

Step 3: If you unarchived the .jar, select all the files, archive them, and rename the archive modpack.jar (or just rename the folder modpack.jar, but I prefer the former method). If you opened in in unarchiving software and added in the .class files without actually unarchiving modpack.jar, save it.

Step 4: Put the Worldedit.jar file into the bin folder with the modified modpack.jar file.

    You're done!

  2. This same process will likely work for stuff like Water Shader, Dynamic Shadows, and Smart Moving. No guarantees, though. It probably won't work so well for, say, Aether or other mods that add blocks.

EDIT: You will also probably have to re-do this process every time Technic updates.
  3. It doesn't have to be that hard! Just use the installer and make the Minecraft directory to(Windows 7):
    DRIVE NAME:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\.techniclauncher\technicssp

OR to install under Vanilla Minecraft, do same but the last directory should be \vanilla

    Tekkit should in \tekkit

Under Mac, it will be in same place Minecraft is, just one directory up and then the last two directories in should be the same as Win7. Images and detailed instructions ahead!

The installer from the forum thread is done downloading!

    Open installer and click Browse

    Double-click .techniclauncher

Click vanilla, tekkit, or technicssp and then click Open.

Back up worlds and minecraft just in case! Then click Install Version X.X (version may have updated)

That's it! test Technic and see if it worked(it should have)!
  4. And why isn't this thread being spammed by "It's not working"? That's what normally happens. This would have been a perfect example. Oh wait. It's actually not tainted.
  5. Hi,

Ok so I know your first reaction is probably going to be along the lines of "OMFG how can you not follow those instructions???", but genuinely I have no idea why this is not working. I do everything it say's then nothing changes, literally, Technic opens up exactly the same, you get on the game and it is fine but there is no SPC, (No problems with the game I will point out), What is going on?

Also I have managed to install it onto Technic Vanilla no problem :S

    Can anyone help?

EDIT: Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place it just seemed appropriate, if I am wrong please ask me to move it to where it should be :)
  6. I have exactly the same problem, and I have also managed to install it into Technic Vanilla, but not Technic SSP. I am following the instructions excactly (I would think that I am at least, but do excuse me if I've made some stupid mistake).
  7. I'm having the same problem. If it helps, I'm using both the newest version of SPC and the newest version of Technic.
  8. Sounds to me like there is a new compatibility issue :(
  9. I found the problem.

The newest version of SPC is 3.2 for Minecraft 1.2.3 while the Technic pack is still running Minecraft 1.1. I just installed the SPC for Minecraft 1.1 with the automated installer, and it worked!
  10. Then how is it working on vanilla tekkit?
  11. Im getting the same problem, when i installed the 1.1 version it just whitescreens me and i cant do anything :/
  12. It is working on vanilla technic pack, because the vanilla setting is just a substitute for regular minecraft, as in it is the absolute latest version of minecraft
  13. If you want to use WorldEdit and not get that error at start up then you have to put the WorldEdit.jar file in the bin folder of whichever modpack you installed it in.
  14. Right now it crashes the dev build. (tried it several times but at some point you get a saving chunks screen with it)

iam using the 7.0.1|1.2.5 dev version
  15. Did you use the 1.2.5 version of the Single player commands V 3.2.2 installer. Because this thread is written out for the recommended build. I just finished installing the v 3.1.1 on my recommend build.

And the only reason is to remove this abbey which makes 100mb error logs and continuously scrolls while playing D=
  16. Disable Millenaire. That'll fix your problem.
  17. Yeah but I really like Millenaire and I haven't had an issue with the Millenaire Thaumbombs yet so until i do i pretty happy with it. And when I disable it just to fix the Lone Abby issue and then re-enable it resets the villages and leaves the remains of the old villages in other parts. And as for using world edit to delete the Lone abbey which i did last night that still didn't fix the problem if you have a suggestion for just removing that one abbey error I would love to try it.

Here is the error I'm gonna post it on the the Millenaire thread to see if i can get any assistance.

    2.3.1 08-05-2012 23:03:13 MAJOR: loneabbey_0 at 102/63/199/3/0 Abbaye de Cluny: Speak: Error in TileEntityBuilding.updateEntity(). Check millenaire.log.
    2.3.1 08-05-2012 23:03:13 ERROR: loneabbey_0 at 102/63/199/3/0 Abbaye de Cluny: Exception in TileEntityBuilding.onUpdate():
    2.3.1 08-05-2012 23:03:13 Exception, printing stack:
    2.3.1 08-05-2012 23:03:13 java.lang.NullPointerException
  18. Disable Millenaire. Completely. Generate a new map. Don't enable Millenaire again.

    That will fix your problem.
  19. I tried this using both methods mentioned in this thread. The main one, when I tried it, I think I buggered it massively, because I ended up having to delete and re-download Technic Launcher. The second, simply installing SPC into the folder for Technicssp, doesn't destroy everything, but it doesn't make SPC work either. I still don't get the option to bring up the console in game with T.

EDIT: I suppose I should probably give a proper summary.

Basically, I opened the Modpack.jar in WinRAR, then opened SPC in WinRAR, pressed CTRL+A, then excluded the WorldEdit and Readme, and dragged it all into Modpack. Closed down modpack, and then just dragged WorldEdit into the bin next to it. When I did this, I just got the message "The minecraft installation has been corrupted. The minecraft installation has been cleaned." with a prompt to restart Technic to fix the problem. However, when I restart Technic, all my previous work to try and make the whole thing work has been deleted, and I'm left with the original mod pack. I tried deleting the META-INF folder from modpack, because it was moved in there when I was moving the files for SPC in, still nothing. Eventually, I just had to go back to my backups and play without SPC.

Sorry, I know that's still a little vague, I'm working on replicating the problem for a more concise answer.
  20. you are deliciously awesome in discovering that
