Help Automatic Crafting Tables MK2 - help needed!

Discussion in 'Technic Discussion' started by LolFishFail, Aug 7, 2012.

  1. Hi,

I am trying to manufacture musket barrels using the Automatic Crafting Table MK2, the resources needed are going in, but nothing is coming out.

Can somebody give me some tips please? and before you ask, I googled it and searched for ages and couldn't find any direct instructions on how to use it.

If there is another way around automatically crafting musket barrels, I'm open to hear them too. I'm trying to make a musket factory.

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated! :)
  2. How are you putting items into the table? Are you using redpower tubes, buildcraft pipes or logistics pipes?

If you're using Logistics Pipes, I've just discovered that the block above the table MUST NOT have an inventory. This means you can't stack them one on top of the other like you could with Automatic Crafting Tables.

  3. Insert the ingrediƫnts in an automatic crafting table from Buildcraft and pump it out using a wooden pipe?
  4. You have to use a filter or transposer, and I think a retriever will work as well. They have to pull from the top. Each of the sides and the bottom will fill a different row of the inventory, the way a buffer does.

The ACT mk2 is very cool, even if they are far too slow compared to the BuildCraft ACT. I like them for precision autocrafting, where I don't need constant streams of fresh output. For mass-crafting of simple items, the Mk1 is better, since you can put up to 5 wooden pipes and engines on a single ACT. A
  5. I wouldn't recommend using logistics pipes for these. For some reason they take far more resources into their inventory than they need for the requested crafting.
  6. Uh, I think you must be doing it wrong? I haven't had that issue.

Crafting pipe goes on the side, no blocks on top of the table.

  7. Possible, I suppose. I was able to use logistics pipes just fine with the standard auto crafting tables though. Post a pic of a proper setup?
  8. I was using Wooden and Stone Transport pipes.
  9. Wooden pipes will only pull out of an inventory if they are powered by an engine. So if it isn't, thats probably your problem.
  10. I have tried using both a transposer and a filter to no avail. Could it be a power issue?

If you could make a doodle of what you mean, would be appreciated! :)
  11. Thank you so much! you beautiful people!!

It was a lack of power to the top output, thank you everyone! your combined efforts fixed my problem.

Now my factory is kicking ass!!

  12. can we see this factory?
