When using the occultic enchanting table, there's an enchantment called disjunction. (which I don't think is in vanilla minecraft) What is it, and is it related to thaumcraft? At first I thought it might be soulstealer just renamed for some reason, but it's not. Searching "disjunction" in the technic wiki returned nothing.
It most likely is. Like Bane of arthropods makes more damage to spiders than sharpness does, I think it would be safe to assume Disjunction does the same to Enderman.

Well enderman are the strongest hostile mob currently in minecraft, minus the enderdragon. Ghasts and big slimes are both less. But I wouldn't doubt that its for direwolf.
True, Endermen take two hits even with a Red Matter Katar. Ghasts are actually the weakest hostile mob, aren't they? Well, apart from small slimes, but those are pretty ineffectual.
Ghasts actually have 5 hearts, so smaller magma cubes (slimes) and silverfish are weaker. But someone may consider them much stronger since they used to be so hard to kill.
Anyway, considering how ever since the enderman were released direwolf20 has been having a "fight" with them and he is relatively close to eloraam when it comes to RP2, it would make sense if he either suggested it or if it was made for him. She did make a special mod for him for season 3. EDIT: Removed spoilers.
There are several things that are related to direwolf20. The Athame was made for him to slay endermen. Someone made a 9x9 mod to spawn a 9x9 house using a special block. Hell, if you name an instance in MultiMC Direwolf20, you'll get an endermen's head as the instance icon. Direwolf20 is pretty close to the most mod authors.
