Title: No sound with technic/tekkit Version: 6.0.7 | 1.1 (Rec) OS: Windows 7 Java Version: 7.0.50 Description of Problem: If I play Minecraft without mods and with the Mojang launcher, all sound works. If I play with technic/tekkit/yougbox with technic launcher (latest version) I did not ear any sound. (Often I listen very very low sounds from the game) I don't know why. I have reinstalled tekkit, minecraft, java, ALL, but I cannot resolve this problem... Please help me Error Messages: None Error Log: Code:
If you use headphones (or earplugs) , they may be damaged. Try unplugging them, and see if you can hear. If not (or you don't have headphones) , try looking at your volume settings on your computer/Technic. Your audio settings from one doesn't transfer to the other, so your problem may lie there. Otherwise, I can't help ya. Sorry.
It can take a while for the sounds to be downloaded, as it happens during play rather than before. If you've wandered around in a world for a while and they still aren't playing, you can grab the sounds from your normal minecraft folder, under resources.
The technic folder of resources is filled of sound files, but sounds does not played. I have created my-self technic version of minecraft (downloaded manually each mod) and all the sound works... Technic still have some problem but I don't mind what...
Try holding down F3 then pressing S that will toggle sound in most cases but its a bit temperamental. Hope it helps
im getting the same thing. no sound at all save for leg breaking when i take a big fall. other then that, nothing so far. f3 didn't work eather. Edit: getting hit by mods sounds as well. otherwise nothing yet. i'll update if i hear anything more. Edit 2: rain sounds as well but thats it for now.
I had the same problem but just like gotyaoi suggested I replaced all the default minecraft sounds from the .minecraft folder and everything was fine. They (tekkit people) should really fix this.
I also haven't had any sounds in minecraft since updating to the latest rec build. None of the suggestions posted in this thread worked for me so I googled my problem and found a suggestion to reinstall OpenAL32.dll. After running the OpenAL installer all my game sounds work again.
If nothing won't work. Change the 1536MB to the 1GB. I heard this from the different forum, but it worked for me atleast. Now I just to make it work on 1536MB if possible.
I had the same problem, but i had fixed it. what i did is clicked on the volume icon in my task bar (windows seven if you are wondering) and went into "mixer". Make sure tekkit is running and in the mixer setting, turn up the volume. If it is already up, i don't know what to do
Yeah. My friend said the same thing, but oh well... I solved the problem now. The answer was reinstalling java.
Not all sound is in resources folder of tekkit light, if you checked size of folder you would see that is around 3-4mb and Minecraft vanilla is 45mb just copy vanilla sounds to tekkit light and problem should be solved. I have also copy-ed latest LWJGL files but i think that this is not needed. HF o/
I had the same problem... Try (if you are using a headset(i use Logitech G35) unplug it when you get into tekkit, then go to Options and set your audio to the level you want. After you have done that plug your headset in, it worked for me. Hope you get it fixed
