Tekkit Lite Where is the Enrgy Link?

  1. Hi!
    I am Building a Quarry and cant find a Enegry Link to hook it up on my Geothermal Facility, i only cant find Energy Link Cards and cant find any Infos on the Forum Search the Wiki or Google... is it also removed? o0
  2. The relevant mod is not in because, as far as I know, it has not yet been updated. There are, however, electrical engines, so you can use those instead.
  3. RP2 added a Blulectric Engine, this introduces grand possibilities for thermopile powered quarries underground without the need for lots of power transfer from other sites and even in the Nether.
  4. Well, as far i am not going on a Bug here but Steam Engines dont Work for me too, they just burn nothing, is it also not updated? Or is it also removed?^^
  5. Steam engines require water to be input first using a bucket, water cells, or you can pipe in with Aqueous Accumulator. Then it should burn your materials. It also may require being hit first with a Cresent Wrench to start up.
  6. Well for me the redstone engines arnt working either what is really anoying i dont know why mojang didnt put up a wiki for Tekkit Lite yet?

Ok so I finally got it going with the MV solar panel hooked up to the adjustable electric engine with glass cable, then to the quarry with the wood HV power pipe on the engine and then run to the quarry with stone conductive pipe from there. leave some room in case you blow up some pipe from over powering the engine. I have mine running at 75 EU/t to 30 MJ/t, and man does that baby fly!!!

  9. Now that Electrical Engines have been removed, is there any way to power a quarry using the Blulectric Engine?
  10. ... Yes. It is going to cost tons of blutricity to power a quarry though.

    The energy link mod is in. The actual block is called an "energy bridge" so if you look for 'link' you are not going to find anything. You need a producer of the energy type you want, a consumer of the energy type you have, and an energy bridge touching both of those blocks to get it changed over.

    Also, don't use bluetricity engines. Bluelctricity is on a much smaller scale than the other energy type and it will take a zillion of those engines to get any real power moving.
  12. Not sure if this is true, but I think if the BC producer, when touching the Quarry, takes as much energy as needed to power the quarry at full speed. Atleast, that is how the Energy link worked.
  13. I keep hearing about energy bridges doing wierd stuff with amounts of power, you might want a battery on both sides of it for whatever type of energy you are moving just to be on the safe side.

    You're doing it wrong then. A blulectric engine can produce up to 32MJ/t, more than 5 times what a Combustion engine can reach. The issue becomes getting enough solar panels, but they're relatively simple to make.
  15. Ya, I actually watched a couple vids and someone had a bluelectric engine running a quarry at near max. Not actually sure where I heard that they were terrible, it could just be that you need tons of solar panels to run it at full which was confusing folks. But yes, I was wrong.
  16. Blutricity wasn't meant to run a quarry efficiently without making huge setups. Especially not when you're going to use something like Thermopiles or Solar Panels.
  17. Sometimes it feels like blutricity is designed to be annoying to mass up. With only 3 ways to generate power, solar, thermal and kinetic and then thermal being a pain and kinetic taking up huge space, it feels almost like the mod is telling you to use a different method to mass up power. In most mods a coal generator feels like it can outperform multiple of any rp2 generator for less cost.
  18. This is only my experience, but I don't know if RP2 was really designed to do anything but work with itself very well. Hell, the omni-wrench works on everything BUT RP2. Plus, you can run dozens of RP2 logic machines off of a few thermopiles or less than a dozen solar cells so it's not like you need much power for that.
  19. The Blulectric engine was probably added in for "fun". Getting large amounts of Blutricity is so hard and annoying because the RP2 machines don't need a lot of power to keep running.
