Server doesn't recognize new Java version

Hello,

I'm running a LAN server (Attack of the B-Team specifically) so I'm not positive this question belongs here, but I settled on the Technic launcher because I believe the problem has to do with the general server files, not anything about Attack of the B-Team.

Anyway, I started an Attack of the B-Team server using Java 1.8, which worked for a while. I believe there was an AotBT patch that fixed Java 1.8, so I felt it was safe to use, and the launcher and the server both worked fine. Then, about 8 hours or so into the server, it crashed. I did some Googling and determined that the problem was in fact using Java 1.8, so I looked for Java 1.7 legacy files and downloaded the right one, and deleted Java 1.8. The Technic launcher now recognizes Java 1.7, and works fine. But the server isn't seeing Java 1.7, it's still trying to access the (deleted) 1.8 files. I'm hoping there's some line in the server config or somewhere where I can manually set the filepath for the server to find Java...does anybody know where that would be? Otherwise I guess I'll just have to delete the server and restart.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Sorry, could you clarify? I've never used Forge before so I don't know: how to get it/if I'd be able to use it on a server that already exists/how it solves my problem.

You open your main server folder, it should contain a .jar file called "BTeam". You delete that, and replace it with this Forge version which you rename to "BTeam".

It just includes a fix that allows you to use Java8 for your server, so you can install it again.
