Yogbox 2.0 Dedicated server plugins will not work

So basically, I downloaded the Yogbox 2.0 dedicated server from the technic launcher website which seemed to already come with thermos, spigot, a plugins folder, mods folder, etc;. I port forwarded the server and everything is running well, the only problem is that whenever I try installing a essentials for 1.7.10 (which is the current version of Yogbox 2.0) and dragging it into the plugins folder, the server console will return "Plugins: (0)" despite the jar file being in the folder. You can test this by simply installing the Yogbox 2.0 dedicated server and running it. Any help is appreciated, thanks again.

For one thing, Essentials was never updated to 1 .7.10. A pre-release version was released for 1.7.9, but that's not 1.7.10. The 1.7.2 version should work fine anyways though. I'm assuming you never extracted the plugins from the essentials.zip file you downloaded, or you did not download Essentials from a reliable source. Only download plugins from BukkitDev and SpigotMC. (In some cases, those sites will simply link you elsewhere to the plugin's own website, such as in the case of Essentials.) But a plugin will only ever be a jar file, so make sure to unzip Essentials.zip and take out the 5 jar files. Of course, you can leave out the ones you don't want, such as EssentialsAntiBuild, if you trust everyone on your server for example and nobody's griefing spawn or something.
