Modpacks not launching(again)

Yep, another one of these.
I've googled and looked through these forums and saw that many people have had this issue, but none of the fixes suggested have helped me.

  • Windows 10 x64 (from Windows 8.1 x64)
  • Java 8 Update 144 x64
  • 4GB RAM (Tried allocating 3 then knocked it down to 2; neither worked)
  • Modpack: Pixelmon Generations Official
  • Description: Boot up launcher. Press play. Launcher disappears for a moment to do its thing. Modpack crashes. Launcher reappears.
  • Pastebin

EDIT: I tried booting up vanilla Minecraft via the Technic launcher, and it did show me a game screen, but it immediately threw me a crash report telling me to update my drivers (something about OpenGL). I went to check on that and found that I had the latest drivers already installed. Nevertheless, I reinstalled them and tried again... And got the same error. For the sake of experimentation, I booted up the above pixelmon modpack again after reinstalling my drivers, but to no avail. THEN, I tried running vanilla Minecraft through the actual Minecraft launcher and it booted up and played just fine.

Since the only option I'm changing in the Technic launcher (without adding additional arguments) is the amount of RAM I'm allocating, and since I told the vanilla Minecraft launcher to use the same amount (2GB), I'm led to believe that the issue lies with the Technic launcher, itself.

EDIT2: Took the mods from the above pixelmon modpack and tossed them into Minecraft w/ Forge. Game booted up fine and server play was great. Now I can say without a doubt that the issue indeed lay with the Technic launcher. Since Technic launcher was and is pretty well useless now, and since nobody came forward to offer help, I guess this thread is closed. I'll be using the general Forge-modded Minecraft from here on out.

1. We don't support pixelmon packs.
2. Did you ever check what java version is the regular minecraft launcher using vs. the java version technic is using? ;)

Hello EvilOwl,
I'll try to reply to your response in the same manner:

  1. You may want to remove them from your launcher then.
  2. In fact, I did! I went in and set up my Java specifically for Technic. It should also be noted that my co-op partner was running the same specs, settings, Java version, etc. as I without issue. ;)

Now, then...
I'll assume that you didn't bother actually reading my post, because I made it clear that this thread was closed in my second Edit. I'll also assume that you're only answering it now because you got bored and are trying to find some entertainment by trolling me (this thread is 10 days old, after all). The background in trolling of the administrative team is (should be) known to all here on the forums; you seem to take pride in it by flaunting it on the front page. I advise you to look elsewhere, for after I finish this reply I'll be abandoning my accounts and adding the Technic email address to my spam list. You may delete this thread and my accounts at your leisure.

Have a good day.

Since the user that posted here is no longer interested in this community I'll just leave some info and close the topic so others can find it and benefit from it.

Modpack makers have a modpack policy they agree on when adding a pack to the platform, it's their responsibility to get all the permissions and check mod licenses.
If we get a report with a proof that a pack is breaking the modpack policy we simply remove it. Contact us on Discord if you want to talk to us about it.

I did read the whole post, I remember reading "the issue indeed lay with the Technic launcher" and sighing.
The issue here is using Windows 10 on old hardware with java version past java 8u60. There are also cases of not installed/updated gpu drivers that are very similar.
Details here.

Vanilla launcher is using the built-in java that it downloads, it's 8u20 or 8u25, I don't remember exactly which one of those 2. It's surely older than 8u60.
Technic uses the system's java, in this case 8u144, The log above says that.

No, I wasn't bored. This happened when one of the staff members fixed something on the forums so I tested if it works now (yes, Pyker fixed attachments) and looked around Platform Pagoda, my fav section from back when I wasn't staff here. You can probably find my old posts from that time.
