Modpack Custom Icon

4 posts in this topic

Can anyone please tell me a step by step how can I put a persionalized icon in my modpack so every time I open it, the icon of my modpack will appear in windows taskbar instead of the default Minecraft icon? Please! This can't be that hard. I can't find anyone explaining about this anywhere!

Some administrator has already replied to a question similar to this. He said: "IIRC thats a solder feature".
But what does it mean? What is a solder feature? Could someone tell me, please?

Solder, or TechnicSolder, is what Technic team uses to organise the mods on their modpacks. Look up the latest news from Technic on the website, there is a solder link there. I'm on a phone currently so I can't link it myself

Hi! I'm going to preface this with saying I'm not the best at all of this, and it's difficult for me to read logs and such, so I was hoping for help!
My modpack that I'm running (1.12.2) was working fine previously, but now it seems to crash anytime I try opening it. (The same happened for True SevTech, but no other modpack has had this issue.) Basically:
      -I hit play modpack
      -Everything in launcher loads fine
-Minecraft opens, begins loading Forge as well as the other mods, and everything seems to go fine
-Minecraft closes, reopening the Technic launcher with no error message, or anything.
      Crash report from modpack: https://pastebin.com/8TT4bAXg
If you need the entire log, let me know so I can get it for you. Sorry once again, I was directed here to post issues like this, and apologies if I'm wrong! This is my first time posting here, and I'm not the best with this stuff. Thank you!

Hey guys! I could really use someone who knows how to look at java files well. I have this problem with my modpack file. Whenever I attempt to load the latest version of my modpack, it displays an error message stating:
Forge mod loader has found a problem with your minecraft installation the mods and versions listed below could not be found
Forge : minimum version required is 10.13.4.1614
I was able to get the modpack working in previous versions of my modpack with less mods. I'm sure that there are simply just mod conflicts although I do not know how to tell which ones are not working. Thanks for anyone who helps

I recently made my own modpack, Mining in Mass, which I had a couple of problems with, but eventually managed to fix, and it works perfectly well. I went on to build another modpack, The Debby Pack, but this time the problem is unsolved by the same method. The problem is that when I try to initially download the modpack, it cycles through 1 to 99% downloading a file named "the-debby-case-1.0.zip" three times, before giving me the message:
Error downloading a file for the following pack: The Debby Pack
Failed to download https://www.dropbox.com/s/64b91nscwy9s65w/The Debby Pack.zip?dl=1
      Please consult the modpack author.
The link works perfectly well, and I have tried many iterations of it, such as replacing the "www.dropbox" with "dl.dropboxusercontent", andnothing has worked. Other than the mods and configs, it is exactly the same in every way to how I uploaded it and structured the files to Mining in Mass, which works perfectly well. I just don't understand what is wrong with how I've set this up, any help would be appreciated.

hi, i have been working on a custom modpack for a while now and i finally got it to run on a clean minecraft client. knowing this i uploaded it on dropbox then uploaded it on the technic website. then i started it up only to find that forge wasnt loading. it wasnt very long before i realized i named it modpack.jar.jar after fixing it i started it up again only for it to crash on startup and reopen the technic launcer. i have no idea where to go from here.

hi, ive been trying to get my new modpack working all day and ive ran into problems at every point, my most recent stop has been trying to get forge to actually run when i upload the pack to test it. and testing in normal minecraft forge. the first has yielded no results and no idea where to go. and the second has lead me here, i has zeiminimap or whatever its called installed wrong or something so minecraft told me so i just got rid of it for the time being then i tried it again and it just crashes. at the end i will link to a zip that contains a crtl-c of the whole log during startup. unfortunately it is complete gibberish to me. i should also link to the mod pack itself: http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/spiritedspys-official-modpack      crash log.zip
