Could you help me figure out why my world is so laggy?

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody!

I have a problem. I run a local server for AoTBT in my house and slowly but surely my world has been getting laggier. Then I hopped on today and there were several thousand sheep spawned next to my house and it dropped my frames to like 1 FPS. I use /cofh killall sheep and got rid of all of them. I checked the server log and my brother hadn't joined since I last logged on so I have no idea how that happened. Now it is still extremely laggy and I'm getting a ton of frame skipping and lagging. I restarted the server several times and even redownloaded the server zip for 1.0.10b. I do not have in any way, shape, or form a bad computer,

My comp specs:

Intel i7-3770K (4.7 GHz OC)

16GB of 1600MHz RAM (G.SKILL Ripjaws X)

4 Samsung Pro 840 128GB SSDs in RAID 0 for boot (and minecraft is running off of the array)

2x Nvidida GTX 780 (non Ti versions)

Server computer specs:

Xeon E3-1240V3

16GB Kingston ECC 1600 CL11 DDR3 2x 8GB UDIMMs

1TB VelociRaptor (drive that the server is running from)

and I have no idea why it is so laggy, it skips every 2 seconds and drops to 1 FPS and hits a high of around 46 FPS. It's 600+ FPS if I jump into a new world. I'm thinking that maybe some more entities or something have spawned and are laggin' up the world. If anyone else has had this issue could you share what you have done to fix it. I also have a world download if anyone wants to check it out WORLD DOWNLOAD. If you don't feel like downloading it I could also host a public server with the world for people to check it out. If anyone would like me to host the server just ask.

My thanks for anyone that can help!

EDIT: The coordinates are 43, 64, 275 for my base and make sure that you take the world folder out the the other world folder when you unzip the world, sorry about that!
