  1. Build a liquid transposer and use the input/output settings on the machines to move the fluid from the crucible to the transposer.

From there, you can put 1000 mb of molten redstone into a bucket or however much it takes for a given item into said item.

    To complete the above:

BLUE is INPUT, ORANGE is OUTPUT. So click the Cog shaped icon on the right hand side when you open up the Mag Crucible's interface, and depending on which side the Liquid Transposer is on, change that side or Orange. On the Liquid Transposer change the side attached to the Mag Crucible to Blue.

  2. Oh this one is simple.

Whenever you mine Nether ores be sure to have your sound on. You will hear a sound like the TnT when it's about to explode. That sound means that a Nether ore is about to explode. If you find which one is about to explode, tends to be the one adjacent to the ore you just mined, you can deny the ore explosion.

  3. Yeah Steves Carts is probably one of the best mods Tekkit has. Learn it, and love it. It can mine a MASSIVE 9x9 tunnel in about 30 minutes, it can farm any type of crop or tree at the same time, it can be self sufficient. And with another few patches to a current bug with Chunk loading, it can transfer liquids long distances without the need for tessaracts. But yeah Tess's are better, just looks cooler with Steves Carts.

  4. Indeed it was. But in my opinion, its successor is much better, no fiddling with special furnaces, ect just to run some redwire cable. Project red+Redstone in motion is much better for my use, and I don't miss blutricity in the slightest.

I will miss the absolute bafflement I had trying to figure out fourth, however. Oh, how spoiled I am on ComputerCraft.

I never really got into ComputerCraft. Confusing as hell :P

  5. Well regardless of a mistake he already acknowledged, using the different pipe systems is preference, really. Buildcraft can do some things better than redpower, and the like. It could also be compatibility, buildcraft and EE still receive updates, redpower is dead to the point where it has a mod usurping its title.

Will always dream of the day someone brings back RP2.. Such a fantastic mod!

  6. The infinite Blaze Rods weren't the problem =)

My autospanwer/grinder setup for Slimes and Blaze together with the magma crucibles just drained tons of power. However, I used my standard spawn room setup so there should be room for improvment to make it more energy efficient. Hope you will be sucessfull in making a usefull design ;-)

Give or take a few weeks I'll see what i can come up with!

  7. First off, a magmatic engines in Tekkit 1.1.10 (just tested them in SSP Creative) produces 17952 MJ per bucket of lava, wheter they feed into energyconduits or machines directly.

    (BoL = Bucket of Lava)

Here are the options to make Lava without pumps:

    Lava Fab: Uses 20KMJ/bucket, so its a no go. (1 BoL -> ME -> LF = 0.880 BoL + 352 Mj leftovers)

    Magma Crucible:

Stone, Cobble, Obsidian: Takes 24KMJ for one BoL, works even worse tahn the Lava Fab.

Netherrack: 12 KMJ per BoL, makes a solid 5 KMJ profit but requires manual Labor to resupply the Netherrack.

Blaze Rods: 4 rods use 8KMJ to turn into 1 BoL, 10KMJ Profit its quite nice but thats only if they farm them manualy and that be crazy to farm a decent amount of them. Using MFR Autospawners and Grinders (maybe even portaspawners to move vanialla blaze spanwers) to automate it turned will works when built correctly and on a large scale... but won't generate much power aside what it takes to keep the whole thing running.

    My fazit is:

If you can't pump from the nether or from mystcraft ages stick with netherrack. If you can't get into the nether at all or don't like that you have to make runs into the nether to restock on netherack you'll need to switch over to another energy supply. In that case I'd suggest bio fuel as I prefer that thought using nuclear power works too (fusion can be automated completly).

Actually with a decent amount of porta spawners, and a legendary Slime, you can get infinite blaze rods. Have over 10k at the moment, so I'll try using that method.

  8. If you lol at BC I pretty sure that your know how with BC are pretty limited. I have a farm run by BC that supplys my 32 bio reactors. I use it at my farm for shipping 9 different seeds/sapplings to the main storage and controlling the farm so it doesn't overproduce. My storage at my mainfacility where my bio reactors are automaticly resupplys itself by requesting from the mainstorage that are over 1200 blocks away using phased pipes to send it there, all controlled with BC. It controlls four turtles that pull seeds/sapplings from the storage and refill the bio reactors when they need to be resupplyed with no loss at all at any part from farm to reactors. And that is just for the power system.

ME are a pretty neat and simple item routing addon good for getting things to work. But BC are way more powerfull since it gives you the controll to build the solution you want and it can be build in far more ways then ME can. I havent even started to look at logistic pipes yet and I guess BC are gonne get even more powerful using that addon. BC are easy to learn but way harder to master.

You can use ME and Logistics together with MFR to cut all that work down to half.

1- Planters+ Emerald Upgrade, attach a Logistics pipe, then a Phased. Phased goes to the Bio system.

2- Harvester + Emerald Upgrade, attack Basic Logistics Pipe to send it down the Logistics system, any and all Machines and Intersections require the Basic Logistics Pipe.

3- 128 BioFuel Generators/2 Bio Reactors set a MK2 Chasis to the Bio Re and place a Supplier Module in it. In the Module place whatever type of fuel you'll want to provide. In this case it'd be Cocoa Beans. You can add up to 8/16/24/32/40 types of items depending on your chasis. This will send all Cooca Beans to that Reactor, you can also set it to default location but it's not really needed.

4- x DSU now I put an X because you will want to do this for each DSU. Place a Chasis MK2/3 onto the DSU, and set it to Exclude all. Now place a Item sink into it. But do not set it to default. What it should do is send the Beans down the system into the Reactor, if the reactor is full the Item Sink will call them back.

It'll take a few moments for the system to warm up, since the beans do need to grow and spread to every piece of Jungle wood. But once it starts up it's a nice power maker. Prefer Magmatics though with a Lava World.

But that's just a simpler way of doing it. When the server I'm on starts up again I'm gonna try out the system you laid out. Seems like fun.

  9. I only use BC pipes and I can tell you that only waterproof phased pipe are buggy. BC works like a charm and in this package BC > TE. If you whant them to get equal you must change the TE config since tesseract have lower rate it can send power and a higher loss.

I lol'd. BC works. Lets leave it at that. If it wasn't for Logistics Pipes it'd be near useless for piping.

Btw Logistics can send power through phased pipes, so long as the Phased pipe is set to Send&Receive. Also it's a lot more intelligent then the normal pipes, so if you connect a basic logistics pipe at the end and put whatever item in it that you want it to receive it will definitely move into that pipe. Or you can set it to Default Route and all items will go to that pipe, then connect it to a horde of diamond pipes to sort it all out. OR connect it to an Interface Matrix and it will be sent directly into the ME system. Then connect Storage buses to whatever you want the items to be sent to. Or export buses. But I'd like to see what the chest currently contains so..

  10. The station I can not take credit for, it was a template I modded for my own purpose,(I am the server admin and fix all issues, I figured I was allowed a hollow shell give-me) I am not a very Creative in Architecture. I am more the engineer type. I am good at is all the stuff in it, I have a logistic system unlike anything I have ever seen before, I can auto craft almost everything I want right from the bare resources. I have a mining system that takes it straight from ores to blocks without any interaction from me. I have 2 particle accelerators that run 24/7, I am solo generating more power then the server could ever use

When I first started Tekkit, I thought Galactic Craft(GC) was the worst mod they could have added.

But after seeing that. My god it was beautiful. It makes me want to go back and get on GC ASAP.

  11. I heavily suggest to everyone coming in to stay away from this server. If you are caught in a luck streak, or mining without torches because you have little to no resources due to bad planning and really bad luck, you will be banned permanently without an investigation and without evidence.

Again. Everyone find another server. Whitelist server is preferable since those tend to have Admins that don't abuse powers.
