The time has come, friends.
EDIT: Damage so far has been minimal, only ~7USD. The troops are starting to become overconfident; but I will not be fooled. I know the enemy is watching... waiting for their chance to strike... HOLY SCREWDRIVERS IS THAT CRYPT OF THE NECRODANC-*morter detonates, wiping out position*

Once you visit the Kitty Jail, you always leave a little piece of yourself there. That's how they keep doing Pokemon, BTW.
This explains so much. What generation are we on now, 7?

...darn.
*dials off the orbital death ray satellite*
It's the house with the giant experimental mirror on the roof, if you were wondering.

I dunno, Chocolate is wonderful, but
carmelcaramel can be good too. And Strawberry..... I really do like strawberry milk, come to think of it. -
Damn, I missed the milk discussion.
For the record, I drink 1% or partial skim.
Interesting, I didn't know partial skim was a thing.
...
Wait, what exactly is "partial" skim? Do you mix skim and 1% yourself or something?
Other question, what's the best kind of flavored milk?

Final Fallout Saga 4, the Elder Half-Life. Now on Ouya and Commodore 64.

GUYS!
LEGO WORLDS!STEAM! EARLY ACCESS!
CHECK IT OUT! IT'S AWESOME! ONLY €/$15/£12! (relatively)DIRT CHEAP!
I would, but I just got a new laptop, so I'm a tad out of justification for spending more money right now.
Anyways, WOO! New laptop! I now can play Warframe and Besieged and LoL and DOTA and Mirror's Edge and Sanctum and HAWKEN and Bit.Trip Runner, (No, that honestly didn't run well on old laptop. Really poor optimization.), and Sanctum 2, and Element4l and...and...etc.
No, planetside 2 still doesn't run play-ably. I don't know what else I expected though, honestly.
It's got a 2.7 Ghz 2620M in it, along with 8GB of RAM and a Nvidia NVS 4200M. So, nothing earth-shaking, but a nice step from the old laptop with the NVS 160M in it.

If it's just static files, I'd recommend GitHub Pages. It's free, it can be hooked to a custom domain really easily, and it gives you practically unlimited storage (I think there's a repo limit somewhere around 10 GB, but you can just stick some of the content in another repo if you ever hit it; it shows up as another folder).
I should really learn how to work github's more advanced features, shouldn't I. Maybe I'll have to get you to help me with that.
Anyways, new topic. Milk.
Skim vs 1% vs 2% vs whole?
(I honestly prefer whole.)

Although they look dreadful with the Dropbox header around them - there's got to be a better free host somewhere...
Doesn't show up for me, just downloads the HTML file.
Maybe if we can convince adamhovorka to host some of these...

Oh man, I could have so much fun feeding people these pages.
*sighs*
If only there wasn't a warning about it not being a real man page on the permalink version of the page...

There's an archive backup of it Planetguy linked to somewhere. It was made last summer though. Still better than nothing.

You do remember there was flooding a couple year ago that wiped out like 1/3rd the platter production capacity for like a year, right?
Drive prices rose to meet scarcity, capacity returned then overshot, now there's probably a glut driving prices down.
Ahh, true. I had forgotten about that. Hopefully they don't go back up, I'm loving this.

skylake? HBM? what are those?
Skylake is Intel's new generation of CPUs. Supposed to be some non-trivial performance gains this time around. Even if I don't end up getting one, it'll make the previous generation cheaper, which is always nice.
HBM is this fancy new memory AMD's rolling out soon that is super tiny, supposedly takes considerably less power, and has a prodigiously wide bus size (1024-bit, IIRC), for great I/O. I'm fairly interested in seeing what they do with this, and even if it doesn't 100% live up to all the hype, it still sounds like it'll give AMD a much-needed way to compete better with Nvidia. (Personally, I'm hoping they stick it in integrated GPUs and start absolutely murdering Intel in integrated laptop graphics.)
I'm not too sure about DX12, it probably won't be as big as we think.
I'm somewhat optimistic given that Microsoft's other projects have been looking pretty good. I rather like the jenky stuff they're trying to do like running integrated laptop graphics and a discrete card in tandem. This + windows 10 could bring some nice changes. I guess we'll just have to sit back and see what happens.
Anyways, this new Kitty Jail thread is missing something...
Ah, there it is.
Also, when did hard drives get so freaking cheap?
-
Bought myself a half-decent, (and nicely priced), PC case. I'm thinking I'll slowly fill it up with parts that don't go obsolete quickly first, (so RAM, and a PSU, mainly.), when I see good deals, and then go for all of the parts that age all within a month of each other or so. I think I'll wait on those for a while though, I want to see what DX12, Skylake, and HBM do to the market first.
Thoughts?

I don't know how it happens, but if I try to quote someone it will sometimes create a quoteception with some unrelated earlier post. I could delete the past ones, but not this one for some reason. I don't know how the new quotes work :<
Me either. About half the time I try to quote someone, it brings up a draft of some random previous post where I quoted someone and then inserts the quote into that.
Anyone know if we're still going to be moving to Xenforo? Or is that not the plan anymore?
-
Wait, you didn't get the game-breaking infinite turn pathing error thing? HOW?
Also, would any of you be up for some sweet alien on human multiplayer action sometime? I think you can do human on human too if you're into that sort of thing.
No, never played xcom, I was just making a joke because you quoted me for some reason.
-
I apologize for playing Xcom. Wait what?
Actually, I've been wanting to play Valkaria Chronocles, but my toaster runs it at like 15 fps making an already slow-paced game pretty painful to play.
I might be fine with 15FPS otherwise. Maybe.
*thinks back to weekend spent playing Planetside 2 on lowest possible settings getting like 7 fps but still playing the heck out of it anyways because I'm a special kind of insane*
Ahh, good times, good times. The only way I got any kills was with the bazooka. So much fun. I remember when one of my bazooka shots went way too high at a wild angle due to a lag-spike and obliterated a enemy infiltrator in the middle of an otherwise empty open area. Laughed for a good 4 minutes straight, then quit when I realized that I wasn't going to be able to top that.
EDIT: THA SPAMMERS AVE BREECHED THE RESERVE WALL! TAKE COVER!

Er. Mer. Gersh.
Soupa can you draw this PLEASE.
-
Well that didn't last very long.
EDIT: Wait, did anyone else see that spam or was that just my cache acting funky?
-
The real problem is the accounts are actual people registering accounts manually then spamming the forums.
edit: Made some changes to the registration process that will hopefully.
That's a nice touch. You might have to rotate the question every week or two if they manage to get the answer, though.

If y'all are interested, I could try to put together a system for running some kind of a spam detection regex golf competition.
Do eeeet. I'll probably lose, but I'll give it a shot.

Kitty Jail 2: You Can (not) Escape
in Off Topic Discussion
Posted
That's a fair enough stance, I suppose. I can certainly see where you're coming from. (Gator is an abomination, that goes without saying.)
For me personally, coupled with 2-factor auth on both my lastpass and main email accounts, the benefits, (convenience, along with enabling me to use 12-20 character passwords made of random garbage on every site), outweigh the risks. I was contemplating maybe even adding a yubikey into the mix.
What do you use? Keypass?
