  1. I don't hate on FTB, and I'm sure most other Technic users feel that way too. They sure hate on us, but we don't mind. I like the crafting system, it's different than the usual LP/BC setups. :)

I wasn't too sure, and just wanted to cover my bases. =) I don't believe that the FTB people necessarily hate on the player base, but the pack itself - whether that is better or worse, I can't say.

  2. Hello, World!

One of the main thinks that I love about Minecraft, and mods in general, is the fact that there is such a posibility of innovation that can spawn even more ideas and builds for others. This is even more true for mod packs, since many great minds can come together and dream up something truely big! With the addition of sortrons to Redpower, I've attempted to create something that will allow further improvements to how our builds are created. This is why I bring you my Redpower and Factorization Autocrafting System!

Now, before anything else is said; Yes, I did make this using the FTB modpack. Yes, I do use FTB in my SSP series. No, I do not hold any sort of hatred to the Tekkit/Technic team - they are reaching out to the community in how they see fit, and have thus created an area where this sort of innovation happens. Cudos. I would like this discussion to be in the spirit of innovation, and not turn into a flame war of any discription: but hey, I know it won't happen!

Now, for the build. Most of it is explained in my video:

The gist of the system is that the computer uses the sortron to check whether an ID that you give it matches with any of the items inside of the chests: if so, it will pull out the quantity needed. For the crafter, it then sends those items to a buffer, where it confirms that it has ALL of the items needed to craft the item you want. Once that is confirmed, the items are sent to the crafting module using RP and factorization, and then is crafted and sent back to the main chest. The best part of this system is that it can do this recursively, crafting the items needed in the crafting recipe if they aren't available, such as using a log to gather the sticks for a diamond pick.

Now, I know that logistics pipes could be used instead of this, but there would be two advantages I could think of: a) If LP is not added to the server, this is a viable substitute, and B) It only comes in one size, and thus can carry many recipes.

What do you guys think, and what sort of new builds can you think of?

  3. Hello, World!

I am WayofTime, a generally new Youtuber (Youtube name is WayofFlowingTime: http://www.youtube.com/user/WayofFlowingTime), and I am bringing you my own Let's Play series. In this series, which I have entitled EEPower, I attempt to create a large work site, in which I create a large variety of complicated, yet easy to use, builds. Some of these have actually been the first ever such created builds, such as my 5x5x8 Mobile Quarry IV, which uses Redpower frames to move around in all 6 directions, and a Computer controlled Nexus System, which stores Mystcraft linking books for future use - no longer will you need an area the size of a football stadium to store your library of linking books!

If I create something that I think is worthy of such, I then add it to my Supah Project! episodes, where I showcase the build, or in the case of my Mobile Quarries, show you how to build them yourself.

Now, I play the Mindcrack Pack, made by the FTB team - I do not hold any sort of grudge or anything towards the Technic/Tekkit team (that is why I am posting here), but my goal is to have people get inspired by my builds, and fuel some of their own creations! Thus, why we play Minecraft!

For my Let's Play, I post every single day, and am currently on episode 50 of Season 3. You can watch the season premier here:

My greatest creation, for which I am most proud of, is a Redpower computer controlled Autocrafter, which can pull or craft any sort of item, once you use the easy-to-use interface. Watch it here!

I invite any sort of discussion, good or bad, in this thread. If you give me a chance, I am positive that you won't regret it!

    Have a wonderful day!
