If the method is turning off August 31 then I see no benefit to listing it as a viable option on the page.

@tekkitplanet Or you could give back to the community since I'd say there's about a zero percent chance you made these yourself. Pathetic.

Assuming you can upload the modpack archive to a location served by your web server (i.e. in the same place as your static HTML files) you should be able to put a link to that file into the modpack location field in your pack settings.
For example: If your website is http://www.13madman.com/ , and you put the modpack archive named mymodpack-1.0.zip (just an example) in the same folder on the server where that page is served from, the URL you would use in the pack settings page is http://www.13madman.com/mymodpack-1.0.zip

Change your link to https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/1uo7ier7cluq7h7/modpack.zip and it should work.

I have modified the information in page I linked above to include the proper instructions for converting Dropbox public share URLs to be direct links.

This probably belongs in Platform Pagoda (maybe Server Op Swap Shop). Hopeful an admin will move it.
Dropbox public URLs should be altered in this fashion: Change "www" to "dl". Change "dropbox" to "dropboxusercontent". Remove any trailing "?dl=0" or "?dl=1". Your pack contains unneeded and unwanted files. Your pack should only contain the folders: /bin/, /config/, /mods/. Additionally, the /bin/ folder should only contain the file "modpack.jar". You should also not be including any of the individual files currently in the root directory of the modpack archive. You are using an ancient version of Forge. You should probably be using the latest 1.7.10 build. Your CraftGuide mod is not from a legitimate location. Neither is Magic Clover nor Vein Miner. Always get your mods from the locations provided by their authors. Your modpack does not include the /mods/1.7.10/ folder or its contents. You should be including this folder in your modpack archive. I am unable to evaluate the server because you did not provide a link to download an archive of the server. Also, the server listing inside the modpack is for your internal IP address/network and will not work for people outside your house.

The BTeam pack is provided by the Technic group and has an official server download provided on the pack's platform page. You should be launching the batch file provided, not one of the JAR files in the top folder level of the server. If you are still having issues after ensuring you are lauching using the batch file then please do the following:
Remove any of the .log files in the root folder of your server. Launch the server (using the batch file). Provide a Pastebin link for the contents of your ForgeModLoader-server-0.log file.

Dropbox is a valid modpack host provided you don't go over their bandwidth limits. Unfortunately it seems that Hostgator does not work with the platform. I've run across this with other members trying to use Hostgator. The links appear direct when tested but the platform is unable to use them. I am in the process of compiling a list of valid alternatives:

Dropbox links for a modpack download should be altered in this manner: Change "www" to "dl". Change "dropbox" to "dropboxusercontent". Remove the trailing "?dl=0" or "?dl=1". Your client pack has no config files. This is always ill advised and often causes significant to fatal issues when the pack is used to connect to a server. One of your mods has a (very lame) April Fools feature. The artifacts you are seeing are because it's currently April 1.

You should be using Forge 1.7.10-1614 Not Enough Items is fatally out of date. You should change your dropbox URL in this manner: 1) Replace "www" with "dl". 2) Replace "dropbox" with "dropboxusercontent". 3) Remove the "?dl=1". Try that out and see if it improves the situation.

Download the LiteLoader installer JAR. Run the JAR and select "Extract" to a folder of your choice. This will produce a liteloader-1.7.10.jar file. Place the liteloader JAR from #2 into your /mods/1.7.10/ folder.

Java 8 on a Forge 1.6.4_965 pack without Legacy Java Fixer throws a CME which doesn't look like that error.
Please provide the API URL or a link to the pack details page when requesting custom modpack assistance.

The same location on the Wiki which provides the download links also mentions the beta/dev builds and provides a link: http://ci.tterrag.com/job/EnderIO/ Directly from your log file: java.lang.IllegalStateException: OpenModsLib not present, not yet loaded or too old (needs at least 0.7.1) You seem to have found an ancient version of OpenModsLib but have the most recent OpenBlocks. Current OpenModsLib is 0.7.3. You should be using the latest Chisel 2 release, not the ancient Chisel 1. Your Enhanced Portals is fatally out of date. 3.0.12 is current. Your Inventory Tweaks mod is from an illegitimate source. Your OptiFine is fatally out of date. Your Thaumic Exploration is very out of date. Where are you even finding these ancient versions of the mods? The download link for Thaumic Exploration 1.7.10 from the MCF forum has the latest build. You have Tinkers' Construct but not the required dependency mod Mantle (0.3.2). Your MalisisCore is fatally out of date and mismatched with MalisisDoors. Careful attention must be paid to the dates and versions of mods. My hope is that as I make suggestions (as I did earlier in this thread) you learn a few things about the proper assembly of a pack and can then turn a critical eye at the entire contents. By the third iteration of my analysis we shouldn't be at a point where I am having to enumerate every mod and version number which needs addressed. Attention to detail is critical in this and nearly every other technical endeavor you embark upon.

plowmanplow got a reaction from Lenzh in Crash please help
You updated Mekanism, but did not update EnderIO to the latest 2.3.x beta. Why are you including the IC2 API? If you intended to include the actual IC2 mod, you need the latest version (your API is very old). I believe you wanted ComputerCraft, not ComputerCraftEdu (which doesn't seem to work in this pack). Legacy Java Fixer is not required and should be removed. Your Morph mod is not from the mod author's website. Download the correct version from iChun's website. The following mods are fatally out of date: (current version numbers in parenthesis) (* means required and missing completely)
Damage Indicators (3.2.3) *Baubles (1.0.1.10 and belongs in /mods/1.7.10/) Big Reactors (0.4.3A) CodeChickenCore (1.0.7.46) *EnderCore (0.0.1.12_alpha) Extra Utilities (1.2.8) Forge Multipart (1.2.0.345 and belongs in /mods/1.7.10/) IguanaTweaks (2B) NEI (1.0.5.111) One must assemble a pack methodically (one or a few mods at a time), testing as you go, and pay very close attention to the mod authors' instructions so that the proper dependencies are included. I do pack debugging all the time and you had such a mismatched collection of mods it took me over an hour to isolate all the problems. Attention to detail is the key to success here.

Is this someone else's modpack you are having trouble with? Normally you need to follow up with the modpack author if this is the case. Always provide the API URL or a link to the pack details page when requesting custom modpack assistance.
