  1. Anyone else notice that there are hardly any Endermen? We see maybe one or two a day. Any mods affecting this? Or should I go looking for a plugin that affects spawn?

     

    Hard to accumulate resonant ender, when there's hardly any endermen around.

  2. Yep. My group's been down for about a year due to one of these "new world" recommendations.

     

    Fortunately, we just came back on the 1.6.4 beta, so we're set for a little while, but it'll come again.. I think the only real way to resolve is for there to be some sort of conversion tool. I remember with some of the old Technic migrations, users created a worldconverter. Without something like that, we have to reset.

  3. As I said earlier, it is aconflict between DD and GC due to each trying to registe rthe same world. This happens when any dimensional door / rift is created on any GC Dimension, DD will save this world to be registered on server startup / login in order for any dimensional doors inside that world to function. However, GC expects to be the only one to register its dimensions so it tries that without checking if that world is already registerd... thus causing that error.

  4. If you're looking for a good server try Enchantedhosting.net, it's REALY chearp and never lags! I've got a server there for 14 euro p/m with 2 gigs of ram and for 36 people, i've had if full with 36 people, tekkit, 9 worlds loaded at once, 36 plugins and a worldedit without ANY lag! it also has an intel I5 processor!

    That sounds highly improbable..

  5. Hi all. I've just tried copying over the /world directory from my old vanilla SMP server to my new TekkitServer directory. I can get into the world but it has reverted back a couple of months, which is a bit strange.

    Any ideas about what might be causing this, or what I can do to get around it?

    Not a whole lot you can do. You'll need the new generation of it anyway, because I can guarantee your old map doesn't have any of the new Tekkit ores spawned in it. Use something like MCEdit to copy over your old buildings.

  6. Yes! There is! Download every single one of the mods in Tekkit from their respective homes, make sure their versions match the ones installed on your server, manually install each of them on each of your friends' computer, then make sure the items they each bring don't conflict.

    I suspect it'll only take a few days to get done.. as opposed to the mere minutes the launcher would. But, hey, who wants to be inconvenienced by using a launcher?

  7. Yeah.. I'm on bPermissions right now. I was thinking of hopping to PEX and ModifyWorld, but I'm noticing that neither of those plugins are supporting 1.2.5 yet. I fear that if I switch my Tekkit server over, that when Tekkit updates to 1.2.5 I'll be in the same boat again.

    I've got my fingers crossed that AntiGuest 1.2.5 doesn't have the same problem.
