I know, right? Next thing I'll be saying people shouldn't post if their posts can't be understood by a 3-year-old. I have one - I can test for that.

Technic.exe won't open due to being unable to update
Torezu replied to Anonymous621's question in Technic Launcher
McAfee's likely the cause of your problems. Disable it, uninstall it, or add exceptions for Java, the launcher, and Minecraft. I'd also update Java (and remove the old ones). -
Okay. Check for multiple Java installs (Control Panel) and remove the older ones. Then check to make sure you're not running other memory intensive programs. If that still doesn't work with 1GB assigned to the launcher, try dropping it to 768MB.
-
Ah. Then I would just uninstall Norton, if it's your computer, and get a free AV that works better and isn't so memory-intensive.

Sounds good. Now that this has been a 5-page thread on religious debate (which will likely get us somewhere as fast as running no a treadmill, and no, not the kind with wheels on the bottom), there's plenty of other stupid stuff in the world, like this (also a Youtube video). Edit: And no, I didn't double-post. I was responding to different threads.

Attach the helmet firmly enough, and use a strong enough electromagnet, and that would...hurt.

Tekkit 3.0.4 - BUG: Advanced Machines not recieving redstone power correctly
Torezu replied to taladan's question in Tekkit Classic
Use levers instead of redstone torches. -
Don't do this. There's a reason the Technic servers shift a terabyte a day or more. Change your Tekkit version (Options in the launcher with Tekkit selected) to 3.0.3 manually, or select 'Always Use Recommended Build'.
-
Go read the Technic Bug Board stickies - this is a very common problem, with an easy solution.

Tekkit crashes after a short amount of time.
Torezu replied to Fencer101's question in Tekkit Classic
Try posting a launcher log instead. That will help diagnose the problem better. -
I would suggest reinstalling the server software after backing up your world.
-
Here's y'all's problem: You updated to Tekkit 3.1.0 on the client side. Go into the Options menu in the launcher, with Tekkit selected, and click the radio button for 'Always Use Recommended Build'. Allow the launcher to downgrade your Tekkit, and try rejoining the server. If it doesn't work, hit 'Clear Cache' and let it do a full Tekkit reinstall.
-
That doesn't look like the whole log. Use pastebin if it's too big for code tags. Don't put the thing directly in your post, please - it's a pain to read.
-
Your version of the launcher is nearly extinct. You should definitely get a new one.
-
Indeed. That's funny, because this is pretty much what every conspiracy theorist says about their pet topic. Go get some actual printed documentation, and I might begin to think about considering your side of the story. Can we not make this thread into a religious debate? The thread has been carried away by that topic, and it's not really what the OP wanted to see posts on, at least I don't think.
-
There are...7 people in this thread (8 with me). It would not surprise me if I were to discover that, of the 4 of them that claim the same error, none have the same OS, version of Java, or crash situation. So, I'm only going to pay attention to the OP. AgonyWorm, you show 2 different versions of Java between your report and your log, and neither is the most up-to-date. I would think that's most of your problem. I'd recommend removing all old versions, and installing the newest one with the appropriate bit version for your OS (64-bit in your case, I believe). The rest of you. Post your own bug reports. Or, you know, learn from this advice, if you actually have the same error.

I'm familiar with how research works. I find, when stating a "fact" that literally billions of people believe to be utter fabrication, it's a good idea to have a credible source for the information. Otherwise, like I am doing now with you, I find you get discounted as a fraud or simply very misinformed.
-
You updated to 3.1.0, most likely. Go into Options in the launcher window, with Tekkit selected, and pick 'Always Use Recommended Build', run the game and try joining. If that doesn't work, then clear the cache and reinstall.
-
There's a recruitment thread in the LP section. You'll probably have more luck there.
-
This version is news to me. Got any basis for the claim whatsoever?
-
Thread locked. Post in the Tekkit Bug Board with...Tekkit bugs. Edit: Thread unlocked by forumgoer request. Feel free to help the poor sap. This...doesn't appear to be a bug, but rather a config issue.

Having some difficulties setting up a Tekkit server
Torezu replied to nellelle's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
System path variable. Your Java. Use it. Also, post in the right section next time. *Threadlocker activated* -
The seed is early in the server log, isn't it?
