I think you're looking for the word derivative, and all Minecraft mods, including those that don't even share code with the game, fall into that category. There's no such thing as a legally valid copyright on the code for a Minecraft mod. The only thing that might be copyrightable is the artwork.
I believe Greenwolf's reference above explains everything quite clearly.
This is one example, from about two months ago. The feeling is appreciated, anyway (though I haven't put any effort into the launcher itself) - the forums need their own set of maintenance.
A Trojan is type of malware/virus, the names are loosely interchangeable. Glad to hear you were able to handle it yourself. I always recommend changing all passwords immediately after ascertaining that the virus/malware is dead.
That was less backseat modding and more grab-the-wheel-and-push-the-driver-out-of-the-way modding, but it's all good. You have a baby face for a month, and the line is a little clearer to everyone else.
For future reference, reporting a thread gets more attention for it than renaming it. It also makes it so we don't have to rename it back when it gets moved.
Dear Hiddenyak,
You're talking to the same group that made sure they had your precious permissions for all new modpacks, from a ways back to date and in the future. So, they care, to the extent that it's possible to control it. Beyond that, no one could possibly care, so they won't.
See this:
If you were a keller before the forum switchover, or acquired it by a very particular means no one understands clearly afterward, it was permanent, yes. In your case, you have a permanent point for this from Merchant. Ask very politely if you'd like it erased, as it may have been the time period where we couldn't set a time frame for points. Whether or not is actually is erased, of course, is up to the mod that gave it to you.
This is likely to be caused by a temporary or permanent other world, probably made by MystCraft or Dimensional Doors if you have it. I don't know what exactly was added after 0.5.7, but that could have been it.
This is probably the worst statement you can make, on any forum, anywhere. We can ban you again and erase all your new posts far faster than you can make another account, and we don't get tired of doing it.
If I had to guess, I'd say Java version outdated, or Java install broken.
Next time, post in the Bug Board and you're far more likely to get an answer.
Legitimate questions, so no flaming should occur. I'll pass it along to the admin team, but I'm guessing they're working on it already. Caveat on the flaming: your tone and grammar could use some work, so you may get flamed for that.
This isn't the wrong thread. It's the wrong section. Go make a server post that meets the minimum requirements, and recruit from there. You're asking for too many people to be able to use the Small Scale Recruitment thread.
