In most cases, then, you simply need to copy the mod files into the server's \mods folder. There are some exceptions to that, of course. RedPower's mod structure means you need Core as well as any of the auxiliary mods from it you wish to use, and of course so do the clients.

I suggest taking your computer to an IT professional, preferably one that deals with this type of thing on a regular basis. While it is possible to fix virus infestations yourself, I usually strongly recommend against it if you don't know exactly what you're doing, or have access to someone that does to help you along.

He's probably referring to the post on the front page, and it's pretty obvious this is multiplayer, or you wouldn't be mentioning a server, and posting in the section for server help. There was a minimum of rudeness or snark, and you deserved all of it.

I have a few different servers I stop in every now and then, but I don't advertise for them, on principle. You still need to have the thread title fixed with a version number. Why did you make a server post if the server wasn't up and wasn't going to be for a while? This isn't really the location you want to request help with administration, unless you already have a server up and running. There's a recruitment thread in each of the multiplayer (Tekkit Classic, Tekkit Lite) discussion sections.

Not being able to see the server is not an indication of whether or not the mods are working. It means the connection is broken somewhere. Can you see the server and log in before the mods are applied?

Server isn't running (no console window), or you can't reach server? Also, Mo' Creatures requires more than just dropping the mod into the folder, as it also needs GuiAPI and something else I forgot.

Allow me to assist you with your reading skills. This is cut/paste directly from the Small Scale Recruitment Thread at the top of the section: I don't know where you got the impression that the existence of a recruitment thread and the terms stated therein made it acceptable to post your server thread in the wrong section, then tell off someone who tried to give you advice (albeit a bit rudely), but you got the wrong impression. To everyone else that got a warning and anyone else reading this: the mods here, myself in particular, are getting really tired of people making server posts in the wrong place. It makes it far more difficult for people to actually figure out what they want to read and help with, and the server poster in question usually (but not always) gets people that have no clue what they're doing because they're looking for a server in the wrong place. We made a thread for the purpose (mentioned above) because people don't always want to play with more than a few people, and we felt it'd be a good spot for small groups to link up. We can remove it just as easily.

7000 items floating around indicates a leaky pipe system or quarry, or a nuke that got set off. If it happens again, you will want to find the source of the item flow.
