  1. Take off and nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
  2. No. The comic is rather popular as webcomics go, though.
  3. Agreed. Get rid of them all, restart, and install only 7u7 64-bit.
  4. Maybe it's a test version of Windows installed on a Nintendo 64.
  5. Wait, where did you come from, and why are you posting in a thread that's not yours?
  6. What? FTFY.
  7. I don't understand why you're suggesting posting where it already is. OP: Do you have a launcher log?
  8. No, you need to turn file extensions on. Windows Explorer > (Push Alt key) Tools > Folder Options > View tab > scroll down and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"
  9. Approved, but you will want to spice up the post a bit. Pictures, a banner, better section separation, and/or a few other things will do that.
  10. You mean a search list, or what?
  11. That would be a Jager.
  12. Have you seen my profile post?
  13. How recently was your OS installed/purchased? It's possible you need to update or install the .NET Framework. I'm starting to grasp at straws, here, though. :)
  14. Stop using Chrome, or edit your download preferences.
  15. I see 2 things immediately. The first is that your report Java version doesn't match your log Java version, so you probably have more than one Java. The other is that you have AVG installed, and you probably didn't disable it for the update/install.
  16. It occasionally helps because some mods like to store things there, and will screw up if you leave them and try to reinstall. One more thing to try: Clean out all Java versions, reboot your computer, and reinstall the newest 64-bit version of Java 7 (u7, I think). If you don't reboot between installs, your system sometimes fails to empty the garbage can, so to speak, and the multiple versions of Java get confusificated. Then check your system path variable to make sure Java is in there correctly (i.e. it points to the right folder).
  17. Whenever people write crap like this, I get really tempted to drop the banhammer. There's zero point in posting a bug report with this little information, as you could have taken the time you used to post it to learn something.
  18. Have you completely removed the .techniclauncher and .minecraft folders, and made sure to clear out any other versions of the launcher you may have anywhere (don't ask) before attempting to reinstall?
  19. That's steady state for people that offer a significant amount of help here. Look at the post count if you don't believe me. It's not tracked for rank or anything here, but it still exists.
  20. You know those steel bands they use for packing cardboard for recycling? Yeah, I'm pretty sure she can band you all.
  21. Hmmm.
  22. I suggest removing JDK, if that's actually what you have, and installing JRE from the Oracle site. JDK, or the Java Developer's Kit, is for Java programming, and while it includes the JRE (Java Runtime Environment), it doesn't always run Java applications the best.
  23. You downloaded the Mac version of the launcher to use on a computer with WindowsXP? No wonder you're having issues...
  24. Are we done?
  25. Your OS appears to be 64-bit, but your log file doesn't necessarily say that your Java version is. Double-check that, as well as confirming that you don't have multiple versions of Java installed. Then add an exception to Norton, or remove it if you reinstalled it and don't feel like you know how to add an exception, and try the .exe again. If that doesn't work, try the .jar again. Something in Java isn't working correctly.
