You'll want to look in the forum section dedicated to texture packs for that.

I have a laptop with the same issue (given to me for work use, but hey, if you can't play Minecraft on it...)

Right-click anywhere on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel. Go to Manage 3D Settings on the left. Under the Global Settings tab, change the Preferred graphics processor to the NVIDIA card, and under the Program Settings tab, click Add next to the drop box for programs, go find java.exe and javaw.exe, and you might as well add Minecraft and the Technic Launcher as well. Apply and close. Voila!

It appears, from the MD5 error and failure to download anything, that you have an antivirus or firewall blocking the launcher's activities.  You also have a Buildcraft pipe blowing up your world, possibly from updating mod or modpack versions on an old world.  I suggest an MCEdit solution or world reset.

Your post disappears and you post pretty much (or exactly) the same thing? See anything wrong with that?

It just looks like you didn't try. You may meet the bare minimum of information, but the quality of the post is otherwise so bad with misspellings and general lack of effort that I don't really feel the need to approve it.

Torezu got a reaction from Kocken926 in This entire board is Off Topic!
This is a "discussion" pulled out of someone's modpack thread, for reasons which probably became obvious upon reading it.  I would like to note that the person asked to move their server post did, and the two (more one than the other) people that insisted on continuing the argument weren't even affected by the post change.

madogdan, you have completely ignored several posts I have made pointing out the differences between the topic types, so I'll say it again.  A server post is not within the bounds of the discussion at hand regarding a modpack.  There's a thin line between the two, yes, but the line is there.  If you were really concerned about defending bizz instead of stroking your own ego, you would have taken the discussion elsewhere instead of continuing to reply.  So 10/10 forum trolling BS, would rate again.

Torezu got a reaction from Rupert16 in Small Scale Recruitment Thread - Tekkit
This thread is reserved for people looking for one or two other people to play privately with. It's strictly for small scale private games, so no more than 4 people, including the host. Anyone found using this thread to circumvent the posting guidelines for server posts will be humiliated and flamed, then banned. The order of those actions may change.

Don't post here a dozen times telling different people you'll play with them. If you're looking for that kind of gameplay, go to the server section and find one.

After you have secured your contingent of people to play with, at the mods' discretion your post(s) may be deleted. On that note, people caught bumping this thread because they're "still looking for other people" will be subjected to the same treatment as those attempting to use this for larger server posts. Feel free to edit your post, but don't keep adding more posts.

Finally, we recommend stating your basic info in your recruitment thread. That includes especially the following:
    - Number of people desired
    - Active time zone and times
    - Activity level (hours/day or week usually active)
    - Any inactive mods/items you may have

This isn't the place to advertise, unless you're just linking to the server post (which you don't seem to have created).

9 times out of 10, or more, if there's a power failure I end up loading from backups.  It's not really worth the possibility of leaving a corrupted chunk or two around, since they tend to continue being disruptive well into the future, in my experience.  MCEdit may fix things, unless the corrupted chunk has a lot of construction on it and I don't feel like resetting it.  I have, in the past, pulled chunks from backups and pasted them into the current level files to remove corruption.  That works if there haven't been many, or any, changes to the chunk since the backup (it includes items in chests, etc), but there's enough development that you don't want to wipe it completely.

I realize this section is for Tekkit, but I discovered another use for it - in 1.7.10.  200 mB (2 dust worth) poured on top of Thaumcraft 4 Cinnabar in a Magma Crucible/Fluid Transposer combo ore generates a Thermal Foundation/Expansion Cinnabar crystal.  That's all I have to say.

Cauldron runs fine in 1.7.10 - it just has a DMCA takedown order right now, so you can't find it anywhere.  Regardless, Forge servers run on 1.7.10 fine, especially with FastCraft.

Okay, if that's the latest error log:
    - AnimationAPI is not there, whether you believe you added it or not.
    - Neither is CustomMobSpawner.
    - Mo' Creatures is outdated (it should be 6.1.0 for latest 1.6.4 version).  The fact that you have 6.0.1 instead when it's not available on Dr Zhark's site tells me you may not have gotten it from the official downloads.
    - EnviroMine is outdated (1.1.89 is the last 1.6.4 version).
    - The LegacyJavaFixer needs to be added, since you're using Java 8 on a 1.6.4 pack - I'm surprised that's not crashing your client, and wouldn't be shocked at all if it's the next error in line after you get the current ones out of the way.
    - The Coros downloads for 1.6.4 include a couple things I don't see: ConfigMod and ModBuild.  I don't know if you need them, to be honest, since I didn't start using Coro's stuff until 1.7.x, but you might want to keep them in mind.

If you want your client to actually update when you change the modpack files, you need to change the version number on the Platform page.

I'm going to ignore the rest of your post and focus on this, simply because it's all you would have had to say to make your point(s) perfectly well.  The rest of your post is drivel of the kind that people with superiority complexes use, with one exception (on autism), which I will get to in a minute.

    1) If bizz had the intention of following the rules, he wouldn't have responded the way he did to my request that a server post be moved.  I never asked him to remove server addresses from his OP, nor did I state that he was breaking any rules, in my first post.
    2) He wasn't banned.  He was kept from posting for a single day.  There is a great deal of difference between the two.
    3) There's a rule about off-topic posts.  That's not "claiming false rules," nor did I "buckle when asked..."  That's applying one of the rules to a post, which is well within my purview.
    4) I, and all of the other moderators, have had plenty of opportunity to be abusive and have refrained to date.  Perhaps some people are simply more sensitive than others when it comes to perceived insults or special attention, and a thicker skin is required.
    5) It is impossible for me to be power hungry unless I wish to be involved with the development of the site and/or official packs.  I have a certain level of authority here, and I will never get more without additional effort, which I do not have time to put forth.  The same is true of the rest of the moderators, as far as I know.

Now back to your last paragraph.  I know enough people with autism to know when it's being used as an excuse to be belligerent or combative.  Your case clearly leaves you able to understand that the way you chose to begin posting would not grant you a warm reception.  That said, next time one of the moderators asks you why you are here, perhaps you should answer in a more rational way.

Many of the mods in Tekkit Lite have not been updated to 1.7.10.  Also, the programming structure has changed so drastically that you would be better off starting from scratch and building a pack with 1.7.10 that has most/all of the mods you want, using comparable mods wherever you can.

While it's possible for the Platform page of a particular pack to be deleted, that can really only be done by an admin, as far as I know.  Perhaps you should try the IRC channel instead of posting in the Forums, where the admins don't go as frequently.

None of the integrated launcher packs are quite there yet.  There are test builds around, but people working on them have changed quite a bit, and the new ones are getting settled in (not that I have a lot more information than you do - I just read the forums and feeds here more).

Where are the server files?  Downloading your modpack doesn't really do anyone any good if it's only the server that crashes.  We need to see what's left in the server folder you're trying to run, as well as a crash report from the server itself.

Ars is 1.7.10 - but I'm guessing Iskandar doesn't want to make it an integral (and well-known) part of Hexxit unless it's going to carry into 1.8.  I personally wouldn't mind even slightly if it was included, as long as it was balanced, but the odds of someone asking for and being granted the source code to continue it, and then doing so, are not high.

And watch as your world explodes due to a massive number of ID conflicts (if you're in 1.6.4) or chunk regen.  It's not as simple as plugging in a save file.
