  1. Sorry for the late reply.

Basically just move wherever you like. The server has a very small but friendly community. So you won't have to search for many minutes to find a nice spot to build your home.

Get help from this map to find a spot easier:

    http://tekkit.tourney.se

We use the following Home commands.

    /sethome - Sets your home

    /delhome - Deletes your home

/home - Teleports you to the Home location.

You can claim private land anywhere you want by using a Golden Shovel. Your first chest will also give you a basic protected area which can be adjusted with a Golden Shovel. It is in fact very easy to learn how the claim system works. It is kind of self explanatory but read below for details.

    The essential claim commands:

/Trust PlayerName - Gives another player permission to build in the claim.

/UnTrust PlayerName - Removes permission to build in the claim.

/AbandonClaim - Deletes the claim you are currently standing in.

    Advanced commands:

/AccessTrust PlayerName - Gives a player permission to use your buttons, levers, and beds.

/ContainerTrust PlayerName - Gives a player permission to use your buttons, levers, beds, crafting gear, containers, and animals.

  2. Hey, I'm the dim doors author and am looking for reasons why people tend to disable it on servers. I'm trying to make it as server friendly as possible with the last few updates, and there are already lots of config options to remove the ssp- oriented aspects.

Actually I've been thinking of enabling DD again but with a very limited config. The reason I removed it in the first place is because it could be used as a griefing tool. Items such as the rift blade does not seem to respect restricted areas and such. And a player could walk around spamming portals literally everywhere outside protected areas. It would require to remove the rift blade and rift spreads and basically large portions of the mod so I took it out all together.

I'm glad to see that you're working on making it server friendly. PM me your Skype if you want to talk.

    Suggestion:

You could make two different config templates. Where one is preconfigured for multiplayer such as removing rift spreads and everything that is a harm to a large server. And one where it is like now more for singleplayer. You see if there was only DD to configure for every admin out there, there wouldn't be any problems. But seeing as there are quite a lot of mods in Tekkit that needs to be tuned to make a stable server it becomes a tedious work. And for most admins it is easier to just disable whatever doesn't work well. Which is usually dimensional doors and mystcraft.

  3. I am running a clean Tekkit 1.1.5 server with MCPC+. Have not added any plugins or changed any configs. and when an OP types the /ssinvite command it works fine. But when a non-op writes the command the following error appears:

"I'm sorry, but you do not have permission to perform this command. Please contact the server administrators if you believe that this is in error."

Does anyone have any idea how to solve this?

    Thank you

  4. The tekkit version says 1.5.2... Please help!

1.5.2 is the version of Minecraft. Tekkit is 1.1.5 but it is not visible inside the actual game.

    1. Make sure you open Technic launcher. Link: http://www.technicpack.net/download

    2. Then select Tekkit in the left menu of the launcher. The one with blue text and dark background.

    3. Press the cogwheel below the image and select Always use the latest builds. It should change the Tekkit version to 1.1.5.

After doing that, just launch the game and join the server like normal.

  5. Allthough i am pretty intrugued, i dont quite understand why dimensional doors is removed? Would consider joining if it wasn't

We still have Mystcraft and everything else though!

The reason we removed Dimesional Doors is because it can be abused heavily with rifts, rift blades and other stuff. It can really mess up the server. So it's been removed as a safety measure to prevent lag, crashes, massive ender men attacks and more.

You're very welcome to join us, I hope you do! :)

  6. Unfortunately we no longer have the time to maintain this server.

We believe that anyone who has put a lot of work in this server should be able to download the full world and do whatever they want with it. We hope that somebody wishes to revive it!

    Download World

Version: Tekkit 1.1.7 (Can be updated)
    File size: 1.2GB (compressed) -- (2GB uncompressed)

  7. Managed to fix the combustion issue.

    Added this to explosions:

    - 507:*:BuildCraft Engines

    - 5387:*:Golden Conductive Pipe

    - 5388:*:Stone Conductive Pipe

    - 5389:*:Wooden Conductive Pipe

I still have problem with new liquids such as Resonant Ender Bucket. It can be used to grief quite easily.

Anyone have solution for new liquids?

  8. What are you talking about? Provided enough coolant and fuel, they will run indefinitely.

He means that if you turn them off. You must wait before you can turn them on again. You can't turn them on immediately because they need to cool down first.

  9. Thank you for the list!

In creative mode you can fly up to engines and destroy them. That will make the explosions stop. However I can believe that combustion engines would overheat without purpose quite frequently. Which makes it a big problem indeed. Enabling explosions above sea level may solve it. Can it be enabled for certain blocks only or does it have to be enabled for all blocks?

I also noticed some dynamites that you can throw. It destroys protected regions. They are not blocks so I guess they have to be disabled completely.

  10. Incrase allocation, increase permgen size, lemme know if it's still a problem.

1.1.0 was never marked latest or recommended, so if you were ever playing it, you were making a mistake. It was not SUPPOSED to work.

I know but I played it anyway. It worked very good for me. :) Better than 1.0.6 in fact.

  11. I just tested Grief Prevention and it works very nicely for all default minecraft stuff. But it doesn't protect against quarrys. Player can put quarry outside protected region and it will demolish protected areas.

It also doesn't prevent griefers from from changing Thermal Expansion machines, redstone signals.

Combustion engines gets stuck in blow-up loops if they overheat. Basically they will keep blowing up over and over but refuse to destroy them selves. So the explosion will freak out and never end.

Could you please let me know if there is a way to fix these issues? Would be much appreciated.

  12. Chances are that it did have the correct version of minecraft, but you messed up when updating the server. People would notice if a problem as obvious as that was there.

It did have the wrong version in 1.1.0. Downloading it from minecraft.net fixed it. I used a clean install of Tekkit and didn't update anything. Also other people in the forum had same problem of course.

1.1.2 seems to work perfectly. Even with latest build of MCPC+.
