    Clearly.
In other news, started playing Tekkit on a server today. Nice people, good server. Been running strong for about a week now, from what I can tell. Suddenly everything starts lagging horribly and the server keeps crashing. Nobody knows what's going on until someone admits that they recently found a strange sapling in a jungle temple and had planted it.

I've been interested in trying out Factorio multiplayer. If you put up a server, I'll probably join in.

The problem is you're trying to use BuildCraft engines to power Thermal Expansion machines.
You're going to want to make a Steam Dynamo.

Valkon got a reaction from erniuss in how to make energy?
You'll want to use a compression dynamo for oil. General rule of thumb is Steam Dynamos for solid fuels (coal, charcoal, wood, etc), Magmatic Dynamos to generate from hot fluids (lava and blazing pyrotheum), Compression Dynamos to generate from liquid fuels (oil, liquefacted coal, etc), and Reaction Dynamos for... well, there's a lot of things that work in those. There's a chart here on the FTB wiki (note that some of the fluids listed there (i.e. Biomass and Creosote Oil) are not in Tekkit due to differences in the mods between Tekkit and FTB's packs).
For transportation of liquids, you want to use fluiducts for moving from A to B and Tesseracts for teleporting from A to B.

Valkon got a reaction from c0ldk453 in I have a couple of questions that can't be answered easily... Why do people not use ProjectE in their modpacks, and why has no one tried to produce a better alternative to FTB: Monster!?!?
    That's... quite debatable.
Personally, I preferred EE1's original system of all transmutations being done via different patterns of items in a crafting table with the philosopher's stone (and at the time it could even be automated reasonably well with the addition of Buildcraft's autocrafting tables, and it would require quite a bit more effort and thinking to set up an automatic transmutation system with it compared to something like EE2's condenser where you just shove everything into one block), but maybe that's just me.

I think that depends on the size of your quarry. A single bucket wouldn't cover a maximum sized quarry, for example.

Valkon got a reaction from CharZinta in The Technic Launcher's future
Not officially, but there is a recreation of EE2 called Project E and Immibis remade the original IC2 as an IC2 plugin (or independent mod, not sure since I've never actually used it (have no reason to when I have things like Thermal Expansion and MFR)) named "IC2 Classic".

I have seen two packs that have "recreated" Tekkit Classic in 1.7.10, but they both use the Gregesque IC2 Experimental rather than IC2 Classic.

Wouldn't surprise me, based on my prior experience with the MCF moderators. Deletion of entire threads because they contain troublesome posts seems to be a trend among them.

As for the "thank <name> for this post" thing, I didn't even notice they changed the name of the reputation. Now I just want someone to create an account with the name God so that we can thank God for this post.

    You can't.

You can, however, use it to provide water to a Steam Engine which burns coal/charcoal/etc to power pulverizers and powered furnaces.
