    Anyways, it's to early to start running around like headless chickens. Whatever happens, happens, and we can't do anything yet but wait. And I'm sure that if (and this is a big if) Microsoft bring down the blade onto our necks, then the Technic team, the Forge team, the modding guys in general, are more than skilled enough to deliver us new things (maybe a new game *hint hint*).
     
    Let me end this with a wonderfull quote that has been in my "Quotes ready to use" list for a long time:

    let me get this straight: I gave you a warning for posting a technical issue on the Modpack discussion and told you to post on the Tracker.
    I mentioned this on both your warning message box and the warning itself said "Not using Tracker".
     
    Now you are here, on Platform Pagoda, asking for the same help, again, outside the Tracker.
    The only reason you would ask help on Pagoda is if you modified the pack somehow, which you claim you didn't.
     
    Is there a communication problem here? What part of "Not using Tracker" did you not understand?

    Hello,
    i want to report this modpack: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/gameteam-pokemine.466321 for posting cracked technic launcher at his description as well as using pixelmon and other mods without permissions of their authors. Additional modpack is used for laggy public server, making really bad name for these mods.

    The thing is, even if someone did have a config file, it doesnt mean the issue would magically go away. Without knowing what the actual issue is from the log the "working" config file could do absolute bupkis.

    No offense, but...if you do not know how to update a modpack, then I have my doubts you are ready for TechnicSolder.
    I might be very wrong though
     
    You need a place to put the ZIP which represents your modpack. Now, you surely have one already, because you have already a version up and running.
    Name the new version differently as the first one, upload it at the same place and then go to the web interface....change the URL for the pack and the version number!

    Different drama.
    Wolverness wrote a good chunk of bukkit and his code is GPL. That code that was written to interface with non-GPL code, making it a copyright violation. He filed a takedown to stop distribution of GPL non-compliant code.
     
     
    Or in other words, his crop is ripe and he's looking to reap a massive harvest of pure unadultered Sweet Scandanavian Dramapoppies and cook himself up enough smack to last years.

    For clarification purposes: DMCA is not an organization or entity. It is a law. There are organizations and entities out there that are responsible for enforcing the DMCA.
     
    Edit: Linked DMCA to the wikipedia article on it - for those who do not know what it is in its entirety or do not know what DMCA means (also, they typo'ed DMCA in their news reports as DCMA...silly cauldron devs)

    Vanilla spawners take quite a while to "boot up" (10-45s if im not mistaken) for each spawn period, have a default range of 16 blocks for activation. So, dont expect them to be instantly there. And they will only spawn if conditions are met (witches need a light level of 7 or lower to spawn from the spawner)

    Peaceful difficulty would cause this. It would also cause all other hostile mobs to never be seen (good indication if you have it on peaceful, outside of ykno, the actual setting)

    Post a launcher log. It'll provide much more insight than you may think

    "Liking" a post is essentially the sites rep system. The more posts that are liked of a certain person, the higher their rating is on their profile (top right is where you can see this number on their profile) - not sure 100% on the intricacies of how the liked posts influence the number, if its 1 to 1, but yeah. Liking posts is their rep system more or less.

    May not be public to view, but still downloadable
     
    One execution of it ran Java 7u21 - which is outdated - suffered from the mentioned _JAVA_OPTIONS issue
    [B#439] 2014/09/05 19:27:59 [INFO] 2014-09-05 19:27:59 [INFO] [ForgeModLoader] Java is Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, version 1.7.0_21, running on Windows 7:amd64:6.1, installed at C:Program FilesJavajre7 Another one ran Java 8u20, which has a known issue with it and is what you're hitting with Java 8u20.
     
    The issue, related to _JAVA_OPTIONS, thats overwriting the ram assigned via launcher - which btw is recognizing that you have that amount of RAM. And to fix this:
     
    Click start
    Enter "environment"
    Click "edit environment variables for your account"
    Remove "_JAVA_OPTIONS" from top and bottom lists. A reboot may be necessary.
    Initial heap size set to a larger value than the maximum heap size That, as you mentioned in your first post is a direct result of the -Xmx512M issue btw. -Xms being greater than -Xmx causes this error to be thrown, because you cannot start with 2G of ram but limit max RAM to 1G, for example (and hopefully obviously apparent)

    Using plugins without using a plugin accepting format? IMPOSSIBRU! No but seriously, there isnt. Unless theres a mod out that that does this, to which I'm unaware of completely. Your other option is to maybe set the ID of the item to 0 but then youd be needing all of your players who want to join to do the same, and even then this may not work.

    Setting up a server for Cauldron, which is essentially making a server for the modpack but using cauldron for launching the server instead of the modpacks respective jar file through the batch file (generally renaming the correct cauldron file to the modpack jar name and removing the other makes this the easiest)
     
    Ie: Say I want to do this for attack of the b-team, I download the AotB server files, download Cauldron for 1.6.4, unzip the aotb server files, put the cauldron jar file into there, rename the BTeam.jar in there to like BTeam.old.jar and the cauldron jar to BTeam.jar, then I run it through the launch.bat file. It would then go through its normal process and you should see a new folder named "plugins" be made in the server folder. This is where dynmap would go - also, your world save info would be put into the "world" folder.
