I apologize in advance there is a more appropriate area to post this topic, please let me know if there's a better place to post this topic.
Recently, I've noticed that modpacks are appearing as "Offline" for me and they're appearing as such quite frequently. I can still launch modpacks that I've downloaded, of course, and everything functions fine, but the problem I'm having is that whenever I launch a modpack that's offline, I don't get any sound in game. I'm guessing that sounds are downloaded during the initial launch of the modpack, but it isn't able to while it's offline.
So I'm wondering if there's a remedy for this, a way to "cache" the files locally, perhaps. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hey guys, thanks for your replies. As Kalbintion said, I can force some of the texture to load, but not all; it seems that I can only force mob textures in, but not the chest textures.
For now, I'll probably just ditch Optifine, but if any of you ever hear of some sort of fix for these bugs, do let me/us know.

Hello community!
I recently installed Optfine HD_U_D1 (1.6.4) for my AotBT client. When I started playing, I noticed there were a few strange visual bugs going on. The first one I found was that my right arm was missing, both in first person and third. However, I managed to fix this simply by morphing into something, then morphing back to human; no big deal.
But I also noticed all of my chests are acting strange...
All single chests appear to be missing half their texture, and double chests are missing their entire texture (except for the little latch in the front). This only appears to happen with vanilla chests.
So, I was wondering, is there a fix for this? Should I use a different version of Optifine? It's not a big deal if there isn't any sort of fix, but any help on resolving this issue would be appreciated.(On a side note, I wasn't able to upload an image of the problem; the forums kept telling me, "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community." [i tried using a jpeg, bmp, png, and gif])
*UPDATE*
I just noticed that chisled glass appears like vanilla glass. This only happens with full glass blocks, and not glass panes.
Also noticed that some mobs are missing body parts; skeletons don't have torsos.
I'm likely to encounter more visual bugs, so any advice on the situation would be appreciated.

Rezeero- I regret that I can be immature and cocky at times:) I'm also a bit of a smartass. While my server has a great community filled with wonderful people, I am not sure that it is what you are looking for. Good luck finding the server you seek!
You know, I'm sure you're not as bad as you say. I should've been more specific, the type of staff I'm not confident in are the ones who act like 12 year olds, can't type properly, and think it's funny to use their 'power' in abusive ways.
I'd still like to give this server a try, if that's alright with you.

Why do you want to be on our server?: It seems professional, polite, and at least fairly well-maintained.
What else should we know about you?: I am a builder, I think Minecraft is meant to be about building and building only. Mods are only meant to assist in building, whether it be providing faster ways of obtaining materials, conquering the 'survival' aspect of the game, or simply giving more resources to build with. As such, I am not a PvPer, nor a mini-games player. If I learn that this server wants to add mini-games, an 'RPG world', or any other strange 'gamemode', don't expect me to return.
It should also be noted that I am the not the type who will put up with cocky, immature, or insensitive staff. I respect staff for what they are meant to do, but I have been from server to server only to see it corrupted by poor staff. I don't want that to happen here.

This is a great server, I recommend it to anybody looking for a simple, well-maintained server. The grief-prevention is amazing.

Is it possible to disable the mod that creates the sounds for waterfalls, without disabling anything else? I personally find them quite loud and fairly annoying, especially since removing the waterfall still leaves the sound. It's not a big deal if it can't be done, but any help regarding this would be appreciated.

I read somewhere that there are a few different types of dragons that you can grow from the Dragon Egg. From what I understand, the egg must be in certain conditions for each type to hatch.
If someone would be so kind as to explain the different types, and how to grow/breed each type, or simply post a link to where it is explained, that would be much appreciated.

Hmm, well, after a bit of research, it appears that the mods present in this pack make it so that Diamond equipment is no longer the best. So I guess it's okay. Thanks for the responses.

I recently installed Attack of the B-team and it's working perfectly. However, shortly after loading my first world on it, I went into an opening near the surface and found Diamond Ore, right there, in plain sight, and there was a lot of it (about 8-12 ore). Is this an intentional mod, or is my version bugged? I found it at about Y: 55. If this is intentional, I'd like to suggest it be changed, that's just waaaay too easy.
EDIT: Just found Gold and Redstone not too far off. I really hope this isn't intentional...

(I apologize if this is not the proper place to post this topic, I would've put this in Cafe Lame, but it's full of spam right now, and I fear it would just be "pushed aside".)
I recently threw a custom modpack together, and there seems to be a mod that causes fireworks to be set off whenever I gain an achievement. I've done a bit of research already, and it seems that a mod called ttCore is the culprit. The problem is, I don't have this mod in my modpack, and there don't seem to be any relevant config files for it. Any clues on what could be the cause?
