More is needed most likely, depending on the computer and texture pack people seem to be happiest with anywhere from 1.5GB to 3GB. 1GB is very variable, some machines will crash occasionally, others regularly, but pretty much all will crash on 1GB eventually.

Kill a flying mob like a bat and you'll morph into it, then you should be able to flly by double tapping the space bar.

Open up your luncher and click on the sprocket (settings) in the upper right corner and press on "Logs".
