Aegis Gaming Network is beginning a continuation of this Midgar project.
The premise of this project is to recreate and ressurect a long dilapitated gaming genre recreated in Minecraft.
This project will have custom mods, plugins, and a server backbone that will be able to safely carry and drive the creative content of this project.
The purpose of this project is to breath some fresh air into the long winded and stale status quoe that is Classic servers, and replace it with an interactive and omni-directional expansion of content, and creative antiquity. What we strive too do is to create a new branch of Minecraft that will allow the players to pick and choose their destinies within the server structure in order to create their own path based on the content provided.
The kind of content we are prepared and primed to offer includes but is not limited to a 200k by 200k plus size map, complete with interactive towns, quests, and adventures. There will be player owned and run guilds of varying natures and a comprehensive classes and skills system, including a fairly in-depth magic and skills system complete with player stats and attributes. Custom instanced and world bosses and monsters with never before seen skills and ferocity will also be featured.
This is only a very small and minor introduction to what Aegis Gaming has in store. Rest assured, with our expansive and professional staff team, this is a project that will surely bring life and warmth into the often cold and disconnected Minecraft community.
If you are interested in joining the build, code, or art team, please contact me on this site, or Volgarenthor on his Enjin account at http://www.aegisgaming.org/profile/592792.
Thanks!

If you guys ever do the FF9 world fucking call me. this shit is awesome.
Will do
There are actually plans to build the whole FF7 map
-
Dang, how many people in total helped place blocks?
Between 20 and 30, I honestly don't know.
-
Hey guys, update:
The Aegis Launcher has, well, launched. Download it at launcher.aegisgaming.org in order to play on our AdventureTech server.
See you there!
-
i'm fairly certain azanor won't give a shit if thaumcraft 3 is included in technicpack
I.... I don't know what to say. So grateful you've been Keller'd.
I just hope TC3 makes it to Technic. It looks fantastic.
-
Ahem, in more serious note I have noticed there are midgar creations from before.
I think this one I got for download. Haven't really tested it yet.
I've seen that one It looks smaller than hours, but, honestly, I like the colors in it better than ours.
However, ours is fully functional
And, well, tekkit.
-
Sometimes I check out the forums solely for the comedic value.
-
Well... Damn.
I really have nothing to say. That's freaking awesome.
Thanks
It took us a lot of effort. Definitely worth it :D

Almost six months ago, the owner and build team of Aegis Gaming Network began a project to build a to-scale, perfectly rendered version of Final Fantasy 7's Midgar.
The final product spans thousands of chunks, and is comprised of approximately 299 million blocks. Now, this number is a rough estimate, we could be off by millions in either direction.
The map is completely accessible and playable, so if the FF7 players who are a part of the Technic community need to fulfill their Midgar needs, it is hosted on a Tekkit 3.1.2 server at pvp.aegisgaming.org.
With fully functional Mako reactors, all fully built sectors, and even a completely built Shinra HQ, you'll definitely nerd-out all over this map.
The map is currently not up for download.
For reference, this is Midgar in FF7:
Now, here is our build:
-
I caught every pokemon leveled them all to 100 then started to breed shinnies and special teams.
Shinnies, eh? I guess regular hockey isn't good enough for ya.
-
be rumplestiltskin, keep asking people to guess your name. being obscure suddenly becomes the entire point of the costume.
Fuck the tinkerbell thing, this is the best idea ever.
-
hey penguin
Hi stealth, nice to see ya :)
-
What's up with girls wanting guys to dress like girls?
Because that was the 2nd most common suggestion in my class, after Potter/Jesus/Gandalf
damn right, it should be.
-
You should go as tinkerbell.
I am assuming you are a male, and if I saw one of my guy classmates dressed as tinkerbell, I'd probably piss myself laughing.
-
if you could pve.aegisgaming.org is the ip, were still getting organized from a massive merge that took five months but still spawns pretty cool
Either that, or pvp.aegisgaming.org, it's also tekkit, and we're also getting organized.
This whole thing is actually hilarious, I'm looking forward to seeing your first review.
Hell, I'm hoping the satire I detected is actually there.

No way. Not counting the various hacks and whatnot, Fire Red was the best, hands down. You get the benefit of a good selection of Generations 1 and 2, with the gameplay of gen 3.
I totally agree. Now, the RSE generation was fantastic, but as a kid, Kanto was my favorite region. It was the first region that was aired in the Pokemon series, which got me into the games. Ahh nostalgia :')

Update:
Aegis Gaming's custom server for Glixyl's AdventureTech has successfully update to Thaumcraft3!
Come check it out - the pack is a blast. More information here:
-
Hack/mine is back! You're welcome to return if you'd like :)
-
Heh, I used to play on here. It was an alright server I guess.
What was your username?
-
Absolutely Paralakz, we can play together :P
-
Honestly, the Pajama Sam games were my favorite.
I know, I know, not exactly your idea of a fantastic game (for those of you wondering what it is, it was a kid's puzzle game).
It had dark humor, creepy animations, and it was difficult as all hell.
I never beat it.
/me sinks down in her chair in shame
Later childhood, super smash brothers melee, for sure. My friends and I played for hours on end. Now, I'm in Uni, and I'm one of the best players here. I thank my lazy gamer friends for that :D
-
yes, it's our own modpack for the various servers. we have tekkit and hack/mine for our respective servers, and a completely NEW modpack called AdventureTech. I'd totally recommend it, it's a blast!!

One of the most enjoyable servers you'll ever play on. It has the funnest (if that's even a word) community with the most caring owners and staff team I think I've ever seen. Also Aegis have several other servers if you don't like PvP.
This is true, we have a PvE server, a Hack/Mine server, and other non-technic servers.
See our website for our server ip's and information!

Server IP: pvp.aegisgaming.org
Aegis Gaming PvP is one server of a large network of Technic Pack servers.
We are a raiding community, catering to those adept in automation, PvP, and protection. AG PvP is not for the faint of heart or one who intends to exist peacefully in a minecraft server.
Our server is a deluxe hosted server, with a 24/7 up-time, and minimal lag.
We're searching for players of all types who are willing to step up to the challenge and take on our core raiding community. Join today and become a citizen of one of the four current nations in order to get started. Make some friendships, make some enemies, and bring something unique to the group you decide to join. Whether you're a builder, a designer, an automator, or a PvPer, each nation will want you.
Joining the server is simple: if you want, you can join the server with the IP above and begin playing immediately. However, if you want to be granted automatic promotion to citizenship, you may sign up and register your minecraft character at www.aegisgaming.org. BuildCraft has been mostly disabled for themain worldbecause of coding issues within the mod that render it unacceptable for use on a crowded server. These include, but are not limited to, item bombs resulting from poor arrangement of transport pipes, and the inability to detect block data from a pipe pumping goods in or out of a chest.BuildCraft quarries are enabled for the mining world only, for Engineer ranks and paid ranks. The mining world is reset every seven days.EquivalentExchange has been majorly disabled because of its game-breaking qualities. At Aegis PvP, we encourage a competitive, PvP, raiding atmosphere. The competition is removed when every player can reach endgame under 24 hours.Parts of EE are available for trade and purchase in our Hero Shop, and are used as a physical currency in-game.ComputerCraft, Force Fields, and Wireless Redstone Addons have been completely disabled because of frequent crashes surrounding the mods.Details on Disabled and Restricted Items within the Mods Listed Above:

Many staff members construct arenas and dungeons for players to attempt to reach a certain goal or prize. Admin Merc0 is well known for his next-to-impossible dungeon that he builds on each map.
Midgar:
Aegis PvP's build team has spent the last 5 months constructing a to-scale rendition of FF7's Midgar. Now, the ~80% finished Midgar is featured as our server's spawn.
