  1. Anything that can take or receive power in TE you should be careful to connect only once to a GC power source.  In your example - letting the TE conduit (can take in power) touch the solar panel or wire on multiple sides in the same conduit - the panel/wire outputs power to the TE system each time it touches, not an overall calculation like it should be, so if you had a TE conduit going around a wire in a U shape it'd touch it three times and draw however much power is in the wire out three times (this is where the infinite power comes from).  The corruption comes from the fact that this extra power can exceed the limits that it should be able to in the TE system and after a point the number gets so high that minecraft can't store it in the allocated space any more and it rolls into the next byte of the chunk save file.

A tesseract would be fine in all likelyhood, use GC cables most of the way and go into the tesseract once only, or just make sure any TE conduit touches whatever wire network you have only once and you'll be fine.

cool. thanks for the info. lastly you think the devs are gonna fix this, or know of them knowing about this? anyway very clear explanation thanks again

  2. A similar issue was posted here, or on the tracker here, i cant remember, but anyway what was discussed was a creeper blowing up and the user not dropping a gravestone. as loader put it, being blown up by a creeper doesnt drop a gravestone. its not confirmed 100% of the time, but it is conclusive from others that that is the case. It will also happen with wither bomb explosions as experienced by me. so be careful around exposions.

Saturation Modifiers having two values were unknown (reading obfuscated code is annoying) so they are potential values based on what was read.

Also, it seems saturation modifier isn't an important factor in this mod and it boils down to the hunger restored. Also, keep in mind that dividing the hunger restored by 2 will give you the number of meat pops/haunches/etc it restores. Also, since I was reading the code, the names are what is found in-code and may not fully represent the in-game name, but if they're off just a bit they should still be noticeable. If anything was missed, let me know.

wow, this is amazing. I would link this if you dont mind to the MCF post, but i unfortunately dont have an account there, nor do i have the patience to create one at this time, but nonetheless thanks for the effort. awesome work, could expect nothing less from you buddy.

.....im amazed cuz i dont know how to read code! lol. not to discredit kablintion though, cuz it must have taken some time to open the code up, then search the darn thing to look for these values, them compile the list here. so thanks again.

  5. It was related to his post that I quoted, the "wierd purple mobs" that you find scattered around with the pokemon looking mobs, you can breed them with each other or any of those pokemonesque ones using wheat to create hybrids - there's a random factor but they take most of their 'gene' information from their parents (so two 'purple mobs' will usually make a near identical third purple mob).

If you haven't tried breeding those things together yet you really should :)  You can get them with traits anything from attacking enemies to attacking you or burning in sunlight or water and even change what/how much item they drop when killed (through many generations).

Seems you have done a lot of breeding with these mobs. Very interesting what kind of mob will be produced after generations of breeding.

  6. Yep, they work fine normally.  Just avoid linking too much TE stuff to GC stuff - make sure the linkages only happen in one place.

Depends on your point of view - I personally have seen a lovely spiralling garbled staircase thingie which was much better than a lot of modern art I've seen.

No argument that it utterly destroyed anything that was in the chunk, though :D

Just to clarify my previous question, whatTE stuff should i avoid hooking up to GC stuff?

  7. yes the galacticraft wiki has a great getting started page. but it lacks the process of actually launching and your options thereafter, for example building a space station or going to the moon. Also things like your rocket launch pads are given to you along with your rocket, in a parachest after you arrive at the moon/space station. very simple stuff, but critical when leaving for the first time. also theres a nasty bug that does not spit your items out of the nasa workbench if you dont have all the necessary materials for the tier 1 rocket. take all your items out first before closing the gui.

  8. I really want to get into using the food plus mod, but i really hate how combining 2 pieces of bread and a steak gives less hunger than a normal steak. I dont know about its saturation, but imo that seems mathematically illogical. i know i know, you're probably saying its food, just roll with it.

so my question for those of you that have played around with the mod, what foods are the best for hunger/saturation? A list would do nicely but whatever is cool. there are sooo many foods i dont think anyone would actually come up with a list.

Anyways thanks for any and all suggestions and hope it helps others.

Just an fyi, i did scour google for this info for about 10-15 mins and didnt find any information about hunger/saturation for the foods, and in fact on the MCF post for the mod, the mod author states that he wanted people to discover what foods are the best, but that he would be open to compiling a list. Maybe we can help do that? lol.

  9. oh didnt know that.... but i do still suggest aliquo because it has the support for TiCon tools, that add the "crook" and "hammer" functions as a modifiers.

I cringe at the thought of spending the time to add these mods to my single player world, only for the ids and such to mismatch with future mods that will be added to this modpack. but if i do add these and configure the ids, I will share them here in hopes that it will be officially added.

then we can all test for bugs... haha.

  10. ok so not sure if you meant the project red transportation pipes were in the nether or in the overworld, but either or just went to the nether and back and all my pipes and such are still there. pictures will be helpful, but i suspect you might need to reinstall the pack, but BACKING UP your world first of course. reinstall using the same version you are using now, ie 1.0.9c.

  11. Kalbintion you are awesome! thanks for the info. I had just put prot IV on my exo armor suit and just thought to myself "is this thing going to work at all!?" I even took to the TinkersConstruct IRC with this question but got no response. anyway, very neat info.

Even though I got 60 plus hearts.... haha.
