If I remember correctly the sprint feature was added in version 1.0.0.0, the actual "full release" of MC. I don't think we had sprint or any kind of running in beta versions, or does my memory fail me?

You have java 6, uninstall that and install the latest java 7 update 45 And your antivirus is the problem. This is from Common Problems sticky I'd recommend uninstalling McAfee and getting Avast.

Have you read the Common Problems sticky? Read through it, if none of those solutions in there help you'll have to edit your post. Operating system is either Windows (7, XP, 8), Linux or Mac. Find out which one is yours Java version, google if you don't know Antivirus, tell us which one you have installed. There are a few AVs listed in the Common Problems which causes problem with the launcher. Error log, there is always a log. click on that cog button on your top right corner of your launcher window. Then you will see the log button, clicking it will lead you to the log files. Post the content inside if it's too long, post it in pastebin and post the link here

It showed me 13+ million before quickly changing to NaN. Not really a huge deal. I'd much rather like to see blogs of progress on that much spoken mod API...

This is not a technic launcher bug if it's a custom modpack. Your log is telling The problem is mostly due to how the creator made the pack. Try reading this thread or give an error log of the official Technic modpacks (tekkit, tekkit lite, tekkit classic, hexxit and so on..)

You didn't post any error log. The only problem I see is your antivirus, uninstall it. If that doesn't work then you will need to read the Common Problems sticky.

It's incredible how dense you are... Did you even read my post? Websites don't ban accounts, they ban the IP address. That means that any person who wants to log in with said IP address can't get inside this forum to ask for help. Meaning that your friends who naively gave you their IP address to use can't use it anymore if you continue with your stupidity.

Tekkit is the up-to-date modpack with the hottest mods on the market. Tekkit Lite is for minecraft 1.4.7 without the ForgeBukkit that so many server owners used. It's also the point where minecraft blorbed SSP and SMP together. Tekkit Classic is for 1.2.5 MC. It's there because some people are afraid of changes and can't let go of redpower and ic2. Nostalgic people, really.
