perhaps the pathway that the launcher is using to access java is wrong? Strange that the vanilla launcher would work for you then.... I'll suggest the basic 101 route here, because the advanced way of changing paths on Environment Variables is too complicated (read: I'm too lazy to explain it) 1) uninstall all javas you have 2) restart your PC 3) reinstall your java 7u76 now try the launcher
-
Try again and this time, try reading what I instructed you to do. Edit your post
-
which java 7? post the full version and upgrade numbers
-
post the log so we can see what's happening logs can be found when clicking the Cog-Wheel button on the top right corner on the launcher window. If you can't open the launcher the logs can also be found inside %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic -> logs Paste the content on pastebin.com or paste.ubuntu.com and give the link.
-
use a pastebin site to post your logs. [B#204] java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "javaw.exe" (in directory "C:\Users\drew\AppData\Roaming\.technic\modpacks\tekkitmain"): CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified Caused by: java.io.IOException: CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified looks like something is wrong with java. What java do you have installed?

http://forums.technicpack.net/topic/132111-my-custom-modpack-wont-work/ this is your thread now, stay there with your issue
-
1) use a pastebin site to post your logs on. 2) java 7u21 is old. Update it! 3) your issue has nothing to do with Forge + java compatibility (since your java is so old), it's pointing at Sandstone blocks cpw.mods.fml.common.LoaderException: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: lib.enderwizards.sandstone.Sandstone.preInit()V

Zerit, make your own report. Bogglie, your problem is now a thread on Platform Pagoda. Stay there Anyone else who is not Shadowzodiac will get a warning or tempban if they ask for help on this thread.
-
I removed this post from the Modpack helper thread and made it your own topic. I usually don't do such things. Don't randomly jump in on other threads and ask people to help fix your custom pack. Especially when the thread you originally posted on had nothing to do with fixing broken custom modpacks

Why have you betrayed us Avast!?
-
I've used Avast in the past and it worked great. Try disabling it, just to be sure, and start the launcher and install a modpack (preferably a Technic modpack - Tekkit, Hexxit or Attack of the B-team)
-
you didn't happen to take a screenshot of that? do you have any antivirus or firewall that could block the launcher? it's not uncommon for security softwares to block something without telling the user
-
[SEVERE] java.net.URISyntaxException: Illegal character in path at index 47: file:///Users/username/Library/Application Support/technic/logs/ why it is showing an error to the logs is beyond me... what java do you have installed? Do you have any security software (antivirus, firewall) that could block the launcher? There are some aggressive ones that can block without notifying the user
-
the "crew" was CanVox, he alone made that pack. I suspect he and rest of Technic team are busy with Platform. Feel free to ask him on Technic IRC if he has plans to update the pack.
-
he's in my country now doing weekly shows. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing...
-
have you tried right-clicking the launcher icon and choose "Run as Admin"?
-
We need to get a java 7 version of technic launcher (not really a question)
Munaus replied to ppls's question in Technic Launcher
by all means, don't post any logs or anything that verifies your "bug report". -
did you copy that log after you tried installing a pack? All I see on the log is a warning that tells the files aren't there, but not why
-
a log should be created the moment you start the launcher. Are you telling me the logs folder is empty? I gave the wrong pathway. If you can't open the launcher the logs can also be found inside "User Name" -> Library -> Application Support -> techniclauncher -> logs This is the path on Mac
-
java version "recent" is unknown to me. Post the actual java version in numbers. If you don't know what you have, get an adult who knows
-
Accio, post your log logs can be found when clicking the Cog-Wheel button on the top right corner on the launcher window. If you can't open the launcher the logs can also be found inside %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic -> logs Paste the content on pastebin.com or paste.ubuntu.com and give the link. Weliketop, make your own report

I deleted your second topic. I already moved this one to the Pagoda... that's why I said "Moved" in my post
-
Pagoda is where we discuss custom modpacks, not Cafe Lame. Moved
-
this doesn't belong in Bug Reports if it's a custom pack problem. Moved

Looking for players to mess around and have fun with.
Munaus replied to MCLunah's topic in Attack of the B-Team
we have a thread for this http://forums.technicpack.net/topic/112443-small-scale-recruitment-thread-attack-of-the-b-team/ Use it!
