Download the LiteLoader installer JAR. Run the JAR and select "Extract" to a folder of your choice. This will produce a liteloader-1.7.10.jar file. Place the liteloader JAR from #2 into your /mods/1.7.10/ folder.

just download the launcher anew from the Technic website
find whatever software that caused this and either make the launcher an exception or uninstall that security software

Munaus got a reaction from DicheBach in Switching to Tekkit from Tekkit Lite
    Tekkit guide http://wiki.technicpack.net/A_good_start_in_Tekkit
MC forums tend to be filled with babies that stick to the past. Tekkit Classic was the pack most knew 4 years ago. Tekkit Lite sprang up during Mojang's rush with a fuck-ton of updates, meaning that most mod makers had no time to update their work to match the MC version. It was also the time when SSP / SMP conversion happened. Hence the word "lite", as in fewer mods.
IC2 was fun back in the day. But it is a dead horse now and considered tedious and grindy by many.
Tekkit has Thermal Expansion by KingLemming, which is a much appreciated replacement for IC2

this will make them come back. Never give them the feeling that you want them to come back. State kindly that you're not interested. They are reasonable people and can take a hint when given one.

Munaus got a reaction from Ohmygoat in Unable to allocate RAM larger than 1GB
you don't need to uninstall it. Just install a 64-bit. After you done that, start the launcher and go to Launcher Options and towards the Java Settings tab. There you can change which Java the launcher should use
as for uninstalling software, you just need to find the Control Panel

you have a 32-bit java installed, which limits the launcher to 1GB RAM max.
    you need a 64-bit java to increase it between 1,5 - 3GB

Error occurred during initialization of VM [INFO] Could not reserve enough space for 1048576KB object heap awesomedog, your log states that the launcher doesn't have enough RAM to play.
Anything between 1-3GB is required, with big packs like attack of the B-team you need max 3GB. You can change this in the Launcher Options on the top right corner on the launcher window and at the Java Settings tab

Munaus reacted to Amaxter in Craftfind: Searching for the next Minecraft
In the wake of Minecraft, what new voxel games will become the next cultural sensation? Maybe none, but in this thread we will explore the best of Steam Greenlight and various other gaming distribution platforms to find some fun stuff to occupy your time! So if you're bored or occasionally get that itch for a blocky inspired game, bookmark this thread and begin your journey! If you find any good games, don't hesitate to let me know and they will be added to this thread (providing links to the games sites/Steam pages is encouraged).
