  1. Please remove optifine until we're done, it can cause all manner of oddities with chickencore and I'd rather deal with them separately (it can look like just about anything).

Couple of questions for you; (galacticraft is the problem somehow, so something is referencing it in spite of it being gone).

Are you sure you removed both the galacticraft mods?  There's a mars expansion installed as well as the base one.

Are you making a new world, or loading an old one?

I did remove both Galacticraft mods.

I tried loading both. The first time I tried to load a previous world, and when it didn't work I simply assumed it was because of world generation errors from the removed mods. Afterwards, I tried creating a world, and I got the same crash.

EDIT: I just removed Optifine and tried again, and got the same error.

  2. Thanks for the suggestions and help. I ended up taking out Minions, Tropicraft, Dinos and Galacticraft. I never really liked Galacticraft that much when I played New Tekkit. I have yet to play and see how the lag goes, but I shall get back to you on that.

EDIT: I just tried to load up a world, and my game crashed. Here's the report: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3a81t66ozow3ouh/crash-2014-03-14_15.07.43-client.txt

  3. While we're on the topic, the number doesn't matter much - I could have a pack with 50 mods that didn't use much power (a bunch of extra blocks and items maybe) and you might have 5 but use way more processing power than mine if you've got something like logistics pipes on yours.

I know this very well, but my idea is to figure out which mods I would be willing to get rid of, and get rid of some of the larger, more intensive ones.

  4. I am 64-Bit, by the way. So, I allocated 2GB, and it really worked! Thanks for that, but I still get quite a bit of lag, unfortunately. Not nearly as much, though.

As for the mods, I know HOW to remove mods, I'm nowhere near a noob. All I wanted to know was what mods aren't used very often by most people, and aren't too worthwhile to keep.

  5. So, I've been getting quite a bit of lag with this modpack.  Even if I close all processes that are unnecessary for windows to run properly, Set Priority with task manager, and add optifine and play on minimum settings, I STILL get 5 FPS. I understand that this Modpack has a total of 112 mods..... That's very obviously the problem. So, what I was wondering, is what mods are not necessary to the "experience" this modpack provides, and would be okay to remove from my clientside directory? Also, I am open to the possibility that this isn't the problem and that I may have done something wrong in the settings or something similar. So, if you believe that may be the case, please, let me know. All help is appreciated!

  6. I haven't played Tekkit Classic in a few weeks, so today I went to go start it up and it crashed. I tried to force update(reset pack), and I've reinstalled Java, JDK and JRE. I've also tried clearing out the Tekkit folder located in the .technic directory. Still, isn't fixed. I've taken the liberty of putting the crash on Pastebin. Can anyone give me some help?

  7. I'll give it another shot myself, but if something goes amiss, you'll be the one to call first. Thanks for the help ^.^

EDIT: Okay, I tried with a fresh Modpack.jar, and I downloaded all of the mods one by one, all the latest version for 1.4.7, and ran it. I got passed the Forge popup without any errors, so I assume all of my mods are the correct versions, and are compatible. But, I did however get an error on the actual Minecraft window, but not necessarily a crash report. Here's the forge error.

  8. I'm trying to work on my mod pack, so I can get it to work. But I've come across a problem I didn't quite expect. The goal of my Modpack is to successfully merge Tekkit Lite and Voltz, to create a truly awesome experience. Over the past few months, I've constantly tried doing this, over and over again, but I've always come across an error in one way or another.

I started off with a fully updated(V. 1.6.1) and clean TekkitLite folder, and just copied over the Mods from voltz into the mods folder, and then the Coremods into the coremods folder. And I deleted a few mods I didn't want: Railcraft, EE3, PowerChrystalsCore, Flatbedrock, Mystcraft and Stevescarts. And then I deleted all of the folders except for Bin, Config, Coremods and Mods. And now, to test to make sure I got no errors I tried to run TekkitLite. And, I got this error. I'd appreciate some help. Thanks.

  10. In my Tekkit server with my friends, no EU generators are working except for regular Generators. Nuclear reactors don't work, solar panels, windmills, watermills, geothermal generators. Nothing. All that works are Generators and Redstone dust. We've tried EU readers, but they say that they're not producing any EU. Please help. I'm not sure what other info you might need.

  11. I have a problem when I try to open launch.bat. It says this:

    C:\Users\Dylan\Desktop\Tekkit Server>java -Xms2G -Xms2G -jar Tekkit.jar nogui

'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

    operable program or batch file.

    C:\Users\Dylan\Desktop\Tekkit Server>pause

    Press any key to continue...

    So please help?

    Version: 3.1.2

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

    Java Version: 7 update 5

  12. Hi, I can't join any tekk server. whenever i try, it says

This server requires you to have the following mods:

    (lists mods)

I always open in Tekkit. And I also tried reinstalling Java. Neither worked, also I have done the thing to enable you to select mods, yet it still doesn't let me use the mod select button. I'm not sure what other information to provide, so please help. If you need more info just let me know.

  13. Title: Can't get on Tekkit Server/Tekkit Select Mod button doesn't work.

    Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

    Java Version: Java 7 32-bit

    Description of Problem:

When I try to log onto my Friend's Tekkit Server, it says "you need the following mods" and then it lists a bunch of mods. My friend said to click the mod select button on the technic launcher and enable all the mods, but the button was un-clickable. I looked on the website, and i followed the instructions. Now the mod select button works for everything except Tekkit. Please help.
