    HELP | Custom modpack server crash

    I just fixed my old modpack, and now the server crashes.

    Never mind, I fixed it. Had to delete Dynamic Lights from the server.

    Maybe it's because I used to have it on the old launcher, and there's some files left in the system, or something?

    I'll try deleting it and redownloading.

    Also, I played The Witcher 3 a few days ago. It run pretty smoothly. So I really don't think the hardware is the problem.

    EDIT:

    Doesn't help. I opened Task Manager on my second monitor, the CPU is always between 65-100, and there's nothing else open that takes CPU, I checked. Also, I'm running it on 7 GB RAM in the settings.

    Ok, so I vaccum cleaned my computer today. I also updated Java to the latest 64 bit version, and tried to minimize the quality and maximize the performence with AMD's Catalyst Control Center. Maybe it got improved just a bit. But still, can't play like that. 1-3 frames per second. I tried playing Tekkify, runs pretty smoothly on the official server from the main menu, and the single player is a little slower, but still pretty acceptible. There was a mod in my in-game mod list, which was marked in red. I tried running the game without it, doesn't make it any better.

    Please help me.

    I think it's not part of my motherboard. Pretty sure it's by it's own (if that's how you say it). But again, I used to run it pretty smoothly, with a server and a few friends at the same time. I think I'm gonna vaccum clean my computer today. Also, I just finished cleaning up my desktop. I had a lot of files and shortcuts, and it might have effected the performence. But I'm not sure how much does it matter.

    Wait, I just thought about something. My screen resolution is set to 125%, because I used my TV screen for my computer for a while until a few weeks ago. Maybe that can be a problem?

    I got my old modpack fixed thanks to the help of some people here in the forums, but now it runs really slow.

    It runs in about 2 frames per seconds. It used to run pretty well, and I didn't really change anything since then (except fixes)

    Also, the main menu is slow too. When I place the mouse cursore over an open (for example: join server) it changes the button to blue-ish only after about two seconds (which it should immediately).

    And my friend can barely have it running, and his case is worse. It crashes for him.

    I tried running it with pretty much nothing else open and playing on the lowest graphics settings, still the same.

    I have 64 bit computer, windows, and java version(s), and 16 GB RAM, so those are not the problem.

    I noticed it fills up my CPU pretty crazy-ly.

    But again, my computer isn't the problem, because I used to run it pretty well while also having a server of it running at the same time, and a few friends with me.

    Please help me.

    That's the version I started using.

    I looked at some other forums yesterday and successfuly fixed it.

    But after I uploaded it (to dropbox) and tried to play it with a friend, we both got this error:

    Then I remembered that somewhen there was a problem on the technic packs because of too long URL downloads from some sites. So (back then about 10 months ago) I moved the file to Copy.com and it worked fine. So I moved it to Copy.com again, I still get this error. Please help me.

    EDIT: Forgot to mention, that error pops up after it finishes downloading (or at least loading) the file twice.

    1. Thanks for moving the topic to the right place.

    2. Already tried reinstalling, and deleting and and manualy re-installing (instead of the button in the options menu). I already have backups of almost every version, and they used to work like that, untouched from what they are now. Already tried reuploading, didn't help. I've played vanilla minecraft in the last few days, so java is not the problem.

    3. I now tried to update Forge. I'm supposed to download the universal version, rename it to modpack.jar, and place it in the bin folder, right? because that's what I did after checking some guides. and now after is says something about assets in the launcher, it shows minecraft windowed with a black inner screen (inside the window) for about 2 seconds, then crashes, keeps saying something about assets for a few seconds, and then nothing happens. the launcher stays, without loading. And sometimes I get the CB's loading or something, I think after I change something.

     

    I'll try reuploading it with the new forge version. Thanks for all the help! :D

    Hi, everyone :D

    So, I haven't play Minecraft for a really long time, and now I feel like playing again :D

    So I downloaded the Technic Launcher again, downloaded my modpack, and it doesn't work D:

    It simply doesn't launch. only loads on the launcher.

    So I tried an old version. Still Nothing. Just a grey CB's DepLoader little loading window or something.

     

    Please help me fix this, I've put a lott of work into this "back in the days".

    [HELP] Custom modpack - all stones underground disappear!

    I made a hidden custom modpack a while ago, and I'm playing it with friends.

    It's called Modders In Space: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/modders-in-space.340368

    And it happened to us several times, on my server, that ALL of the stones underground disappeared, and only bedrock, ores, and dirt were left, except the trees and houses we built and other stuff above the surface.

    I was lucky, because I make backups once some stuff is done.

    But it's still a very big problem.

     

    IMPORTANT:

    I'm pretty sure it's important, at the land I am there's "red granite" underground instead of normal stones, it's in one of the mods, and it's probably a problem with this block.

     

    Please help me, any help would be very appreciated. Thanks! :D

    It is supposed to look like this is in some modpack. There is the pyramid from the Legendary Beast mod, Battle Towers mod, tornado from the Weathers mod, the armour from rpg inventory. And the factory with any kind of tech mods! And much, much more! :D Sorry for my bad english! xD By the way, I'm totally new to this forum stuff here, don't judge me xD

    It work all fine, and I also played on a server with a friend a little while ago.

    Yesterday I tried to update it.

    I first tested it on my computer, both server and client, and they work.

    So I uploaded it to dropbox, copied the right link (I know which), and updated the modpack page.

    But when I tried to update (in technic launcher) I got an error.

    I also try removing the pack and reinstalling, but I still got the error.

    So I rolled back to the version I used to play with my friend, but I still get this error!

    And in dropbox I clicked share>get link>right click download>copy link.

    For some reason it suddenly stopped working!

    I don't understand where do I post help threads.

    At first I posted at Cafe Lame.

    At the first threads I made noone told me it's in the wrong forum/section.

    After a while in a later thread I made, someone told me it's moved to Platform Pagoda.

    And I do get help in the threads I made at Cafe Lame, which weren't moved.

     

    So where do I post help threads?
