BrowserXL got a reaction from Willyhamgermaine in [HELP] I cant join servers without instantly falling through the map
Apart from that, what is happening in the area you are entering? I am experiencing this problem when entering the area of my automated mob farms (i have been a bit too eager with them). This doesn't happen all the time but in good regular intervals. I come through the portal and fall into the bottomless pit. During those incidents I am not experiencing lag or anything communication related, but the server goes bananas

Oh, I love being helpful as well.
But since I don't know what to help with, it's hard to give tailored help.

With all the information given in the original post, a recommendation to buy a completely new PC would be just as accurate as telling him anything else.

And while your suggestion might have been the right one (was it, Braden?), it promotes lazy behaviour.
To get help, you need to give some help (in the form of some information to go by). That's the preferred method here. Not a wild goose chase for the right solution. (Also, issues go on the Tracker. Not on the forums)

Lets say the diamond is the reference as a vanilla item.
Last time I started a new map, I had a stack of them within two mc days. Last time I checked (and I haven't actively mined a long time) I had around 10 stacks of em.
Emeralds are usually rare in vanilla. Here I can automate their generation in a villager smelter and produce them out of basicly nothing. so this would render the two rarest and most sought materials basicly worthless and leave them with a price of 1. Same goes for obsidian by the way. I can create them in a machine using only a constant influx of water, energy and lava.

What actually is hard to come by are some witching ingredients, like icy needles, creeper hearts, tongue of dog and wool of bat. But all it needs is the raw supply of one bat, wolf or snowbell and I can easily automate their generation using mobspawners.

So if your want an economy setup, you would have to take into consideration how skilled your players are and how far their automation processes are. This would result in a constant downfall of prices that will in the midterm leave all items with a price of 1.

You should always remember the one thing generikb said in one of his videos: "This pack is not about balance, its about having fun."
This pack is not made to have people working for stuff. The only mod in this which really had me doing things in a very intense and dedicated way was the witchery mod so far which I have yet to automate, once I find the final location for the lair, but the rest of the pack is primarily to play around with and have fun with your friends.

You have to create a router utility first. The pick the card to be upgraded and stuff them into the router utility. Then you add the upgrades desired and click install to upgrade the card.
From my  experience the only card it makes real sense is the extractor card from your inbox (if you have any). Requesting items usually go so fas that there is no need for that, but getting stuff into the system is usually slow.
One of the upgrades (i think L) reduces the time between item pick ups, while the other (most likely R) increases the amount of item being picked up.

BrowserXL got a reaction from edde0303 in server says its open but i cant join plz help
probably a personal firewall issue. The TCP/IP stack handles requests to localhost differently then IP addresses. So depending on your PFW you can access localhost, but not the IP. To make it run via the IP you have to make the proper exception to forward traffic trhough your PFW on the necessary ports.

BrowserXL got a reaction from Kalbintion in German Language Attack of the B-Team Tutorials
    Hello everybody,

yesterday I have started my own Youtube channel with tutorials for "Attack of the B-Team". The tutorials are in german language and are intended for the german native speakers here,  which have a hard time coping with english.
In the german language area its is lacking some tutorials to cover the various mods and I hope to close some of that gap with these tutorials.

So check out my Youtube Channel, or get in touch via Twitter.

    See you around

BrowserXL got a reaction from RiveraBerrios in how can i play LAN?
Basicly a server running on the LAN should be discovered when looking for games. One of the machines (or even better a dedicated server) must run a server version corresponding to your clientversions (most likely the current recommended build).
If these conditions are met, you can find the when looking for multiplayer games. If it doesn'ntr show up, make sure the server is running correctly and if it does look for a firewalll service on the server machine that is blocking the server port and make an exception to the ruleset that will allow the server to pass sending and receiving traffic through the firewall.

hmmm interesting. haven't come across it so far, but this makes the mod even more fun.

Sometimes I had a weird behaviour when I initially place the mob (I get them from a cloning chamber out of an autospawner).
I pick him up in a safari net and place him in the breeding chamber. He then starts taking damage. I pick him up again and place him again, now everything is fine ... wonder what is causing this.

Such a mutation pit is great fun, especially when you come home back after a day of work and discover something new every day. Genny mentioned that there are 126 possible combinations which yield different items. So far I have discovered I would say 30 to 40 of them, since I am not guiding the mutations but let happen.
It seems that the enderman legs and slimetorsos are somewhat dominant since no matter how I set up the pit (I put in fresh specimen every week) they usually end up with those two features mainly.
The brilliant thing about such a pit is, that it will always yield some stuff that is made of iron, gold or steel (and a little rarer diamond). Those items (since they are in mint condition) can be put in the smeltery and give you are solid income of those materials.
Just today I had 74 Ingot of iron and 95 ingots of steel in the yield (aloong with a lot of other stuff). And this is only done with a basic breeding stock of 8 mobs which i let breed like wild.
I have made the design a little more basic then genny and removed the cronotyper, and replaced that with a drawbridge that open controlled by a timer in regular intervals and dumps half the mobs into the deathtrap. Also I added an Autospawner to the setup which uses the grinder generated mob essence to spawn Whiter Skeletons.

For those who are interested in the basic concept ... check out generikb's video "The deathchamber of DEATH"

Basicly they are the perfect "factory mobs". I have built to slaughterchambers similar to Gennys. One is just producing meat (using a slaughterhouse), while the other one generates items (using a grinder).
Both are close together, and I use a poppet shelf to keep the chunk loaded.
In the meantime around 20K Meat ingot have been produced, as well as several hundred block of iron, steel and gold along with various other items like brewing stands enderpearls, ghast tears, blazerods and powder and so on.
Since the DNA is randomly recombining (even when the original darwin wasn't in the group) the yield basicly varies from day to day. Yesterday my lockers where full with  bucketload of beds (useful as furnace fuel) while today I have mostly Chain boots and leggings.
Its hard to predict what they will yield, since the mutation seems to be partly random.

BrowserXL got a reaction from Kalbintion in Villages
Do you really need a village or do you need villagers?
If you only need villagers you can simply buy a spawner egg of minebay (mr crayfish mod ... build a computer and use it). Spawn the village and trap him in a reuseable safari net. Stuff the net into an MFR Auto Spawner and feed it energy and mob essence .... and hey presto ... the infinite villager spawner.

The portaspawner is the only legit way I can think of. There *is* a way, albeit roundabout, that a silk touch pick can make the process of obtaining one somewhat less painful:  Collect a bunch of redstone ore and pulverize it. That has a chance of producing cinnabar as a secondary result. If you put the cinnabar in an induction smelter with ferrous ore, it has a 100% chance of producing the elusive shiny metal, as opposed to the much lower chance you get by pulvierizing the ferrous directly. Should make getting the enderium go more smoothly.

BrowserXL reacted to Loader in Server 1.0.9c - Sudden Death of hostile mobs and problems with the chisel
Peaceful mobs can only spawn on grass - if you're going over visited areas then there's probably mobs in caves below the surface.  If you've got OP access you can use the command /cofh killall to kill mobs nearby (it'll do hostile mobs only if they're around, then peaceful ones if there's none around, then other stuff if there's none of those around).

If you don't have OP access you can at least press F3 for the debug screen in order to see how many entities are around (in the top left).  You should see that number go up as things spawn or down as you move out of range of them, at least it'll indicate they're around.

BrowserXL reacted to Loader in Server 1.0.9c - Sudden Death of hostile mobs and problems with the chisel
1: The server only supports a certain number of mobs at once - if there's a lot of other players or you're flying then it's unlikely you'll see them (flying they'll spawn underneath you and be behind before they show up, then you'll hit the cap so when you land there's no more spawning allowed).  MCPC+ can alleviate this a little (it clears up distant mobs a bit better but allows plugins like clearlagg that do an even better job than MCPC+ alone).  Walking should also fix this.

2: There are several kinds of chisel - you want the one that takes 4 iron in a square shape in the top right corner with a stick in the bottom left for what you're describing (the chisel from the Chisel mod, it sounds like you're using the Carpenters Chisel from the Carpenters Blocks mod).

Edit: Thinking of wrong pattern, corrected
