AetherPirate got a reaction from mrmcbloka in mod pack server wont work
Post a link to your pack. At a glance though, it looks like your sever has a client-side only mod in there: mapwriter

AetherPirate reacted to Viesis in [1.9.4 / 1.9.0 / 1.8.9 / 1.7.10] Ebon Arts
Current version: Release 2.3.9a 1.9.4 version was updated to Forge version 1963 - JAVA 8. 1.9.0 version was updated to Forge version 1887 - JAVA 8. 1.8.9 version was updated to Forge version 1722 - JAVA 7. 1.7.10 version was updated to Forge version 1558 - JAVA 7. What is this mod? Ebon Arts is a mod that brings various new ores to discover and new blocks/models to build with, along with several tools, achievements, records, and equipment to spice up the life of an adventurer. This mod also has various quality of life addons that allows the creation of various vanilla items that you normally cannot craft, all able to be disabled via the configs. You can download all versions from my curse.com page: http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/ebon-arts For more specific mod info, including descriptions and recipes, check out the main site: http://ebonarts.us/ Note for Modpack Creators Everyone is free to use this mod in any modpack they want. I only ask that you give me credit (Viesis), don't make money off of it (keeping it free), and have a link back to my curse site (if you can). Otherwise, have fun with it! -
AetherPirate got a reaction from E4RU in Could someone please make a modpack please
I'll have a look today and see whats going on.
I am able to connect and play. Try this:
1) Download Plowman's Barebones Pack
2) Run it once.
3) Put all the mods from the Client zip file into /mods. Make a Flan folder and add the two content pack .jar files .
4) Launch it again and attempt to connect.
This should ensure you have a clean test environment.

AetherPirate reacted to Gomo in Tool to replace blocks with a different block?
What about Filler? Mark the area with land marks, select the mode you want it to work in & supply it with power and blocks.

AetherPirate got a reaction from Breeasaurus in Modpack Assistance Needed!
Can you provide the link to your modpack on Tecnnic? That would be easier to work with.
Your pack should be named modpack.zip and contain just these three folders
bin -- contains forge universal, re-named to modpack.jar.
config -- mod config files, generated after pack launches once
mods -- your .jar files for your mods
Using Plowman's Barebones modpack makes it very easy to build a pack, use that if you are stuck.

AetherPirate got a reaction from IMPREZAS in Modpacki unable to download
It looks like most of your mods are not from safe sources. Get them from the authors site, curseforge, minecraftforum, or github. That is step one.
* also a lot of those zipped mods you have in there have install instructions you have not followed, assuming they are from legit sources to begin with...
And your zip is in there twice.

AetherPirate got a reaction from EvilOwl in Could someone please make a modpack please
Give it a try yourself.
1) Install Plowman's Barebones pack for the version of Minecraft you want. Probably 1.7.10 is best.
2) Run it once. It will create the folder structure you need in your technic folder. On a PC your modpacks are in C:\Users\*yourusername*\AppData\Roaming\.technic\modpacks
3) Grab a few of the mods you'd like to have in your pack from safe sources (author's website, github, curseforge, Mineraforum. Avoid anywhere else.
4) Drop them the /mods folder. Consider adding them one at a time. Read author instructions carefully. Often you need more than one .jar file.
5) Run it again. If it works, add more mods and repeat. If it crashes, pastebin the crashlog here and you'll get help. Once you have all your mods, go into /configs and make any changes you'd like.
Start with that.

AetherPirate got a reaction from NodePack in *DESPERATELY NEED HELP* Modpack wont launch!
https://technicpack.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203310269-Administrating-a-Modpack
scroll down to "modpack change log"
whenever you make changes to your modpack.zip, you must increment your pack version. This makes the launcher prompt users to download your update.

Have you thought about a custom modpack and server of your own? Then you can put in whatever you like.

Applied Energistics. Volts has the old version. Direwolf20 made excellent videos about it. It's the ultimate storage mod. Can move items and fluids around too.

AetherPirate got a reaction from Beejsterb in Where did the launcher go?
Look in your Downloads folder, if you're running Windows.

Zip up your server and Dropbox it, and post the link.

AetherPirate got a reaction from LimeJungle in Technic Launcher not launching anything
Toshiba hasn't caught up to windows 10 yet for that model, it seems.
Visit intel and see if they offer anything for your graphics chipset.
-
AetherPirate got a reaction from LimeJungle in Technic Launcher not launching anything
Could be a Windows 10 graphics driver version issue. Try updating the driver. If your issue continues, and if there are multiple versions of the graphics driver to choose from, try older drivers.

AetherPirate got a reaction from Secretx51 in Server Command Not Working Mac
Your Mac is running Java 1.6. Update to the latest 64 bit version supported by your OS.
Also, Aroma backup was causing a crash. I updated to the latest and your server launched.
Java is Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, version 1.6.0_65

Post a link to dropbox for your server pack.
Do you have Malisis Doors and its dependency, MalisisCore?

AetherPirate got a reaction from kyle66087 in NO COREMOD DATA; LEGACY DOSENT FIX-JAVA v7-79
You are missing a dependency, add the latest codechickencore for 1.7.10
http://chickenbones.net/Pages/links.html
You need to update NEI to the latest version as well.
Also, the Aquatic Abyss mod had a missing dependency.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1289836-animationapi-animate-your-entities-v1-2-3
The Mariculture mod needs Enchiridion, grab that too.
And remove the legacy fixer jar, it doesn't apply to you.
If you add more mods, read the author's instructions.

Put NEI back in, and lets see those new errors, but use pastebin.

AetherPirate got a reaction from DicheBach in Spawner in the Dark, but not spawning
I think I recall a bug with those lights, your suspicion is correct, they are never really off. Remove the lights or cover them with dirt for testing and see if anything spawns.

AetherPirate got a reaction from TimmyTheDoggy in Download problem for costum modpacks
I get the same error. It means the author really does need to fix the dropbox link. There are many broken and abandoned custom packs, keep looking, or look for recently advertised servers.

AetherPirate got a reaction from UnstopableWalrus in modpack crashing
I'd go back and read about journey map. I don't think the journey map server jar should be in your client pack.
