liteloader-installer-1.7.10-04.jar ---> this is the installer for liteloader, it shouldn't be in your pack. Run it and place the .jar it extracts into your mods folder.

I will have more time to look at the pack later, start with this and let me know how it goes.

I don't you removed all of galacticraft.  It's more than one jar file. Take another look.

It doesn't "install". Just grab the .exe
from your downloads folder and stick it on your desktop.

Try adding the following arguments to your minecraft start. the default 128m usually are to small when using lots of mods.
    -XX:PermSize=256m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m

    Name: John
I'd like a server with a long term map, casual adult players (no screaming tweens), and no griefing. Just friendly people who jump on occasionally after work to play. I usually play solo, but enjoy seeing what other people are up to, chatting sometimes, and helping when I can. I've been playing exclusively with the major tech mods, but branching out into magic sounds fun too.
I mostly enjoy building. I guess Minecraft is my hobby.
Here's an example of a base I've been working on:

Hope to see others' work, and learn a bit more artistry. All my stuff becomes factories.
Question: Are you allowed one chunkloader at your base to keep things going while you are away?

Reactors in 1.6.4 need quite a bit of water. Make an aqueous accumulator farm, maybe a dozen or so.

How big is the turbine? Can it accept more than 120 steam?
if it seems to be setup right, but still acts odd, break the turbine and reactor and let them re-form.
Make sure your reactor is getting enough water too.

AetherPirate reacted to Curunir in What mods I would like to see in Tekkit
I shall recap and update my thoughts here briefly, as there is a chance that IskanDar at least has a look at this. So rise from the grave, dusty thread, and shamble onwards!

    Tinker's Construct + Iguana's Tweaks:
I have seen The Light after using it with Iguana's Tweaks once (ironically, in IskanDar's own Crash Landing). Ever since, I am an avid TiC user and have pretty much mastered it. Definitely nice to have, with Iguana's Tweaks, as you also have the option to "Flux" tools and effectively have them run on RF.

    Natura:
One biome mod should be included, and I would prefer Natura to be that mod. BoP is nice, but too heavy. Giant Redwoods for teh win.

    Mekanism:
Having used this extensively, I am quite convinced that no self-respecting tech pack can go without it. Nerf stuff if you must, but I actually think that this is not even necessary.

    Ender IO:
The king and queen of conduits - for those alone, it needs to be in any tech pack. Seriously, this is two classes above and beyond any other mod that has conduits. Also has multi-block power storage with useful monitoring tools, and Dimensional Transceivers, which are the love child of a Tesseract and Chuck Norris. You will refuse to ever use Tesseracts again once you had DTs. Also has an MPS equivalent built in, because why not?

    Chisel 2:
The king is dead, long live the king. I recently tried out Chisel 2, and it's about twice as awesome as the original. Mostly because of the new custom block variants, but also because it works practically without bugs here, although I wrangled it a damn lot.

    Pam's Harvestcraft:
I am rather fond of this little garden and kitchen mod. It adds as much variety as BoP would, but not on biome-level. Instead, you get dozens of fruit trees and around one hundred different field crops. Also, menus worthy of a classy restaurant to craft from all this. It may not be tech, but come on, you need a few purposes to use all that tech on.
Needs a small fixing mod to become compatible with MFR machines, but works like a charm when that is applied.

    Thaumcraft:
Yes, it's magic and not tech. But of all magic mods, Thaumcraft seems to be the one with the most "scientific" mindset - also has an underlying "mad scientist wizard" theme and tie-in mods that integrate closer with tech stuff. Also, I invoke Mystcraft being included in 1.6.4-based Tekkit as precedent.

Your PermSize options are messed up: -XX:PermSize=3096m -XX:MaxPermSize=4000m You should not be allocating 3-4G of RAM to permanent generation space. Your Better Dungeons mod is not installed correctly. Open the ZIP file and follow the instructions. The Warp Mod is not installed correctly. The ZIP file just contains a JAR file. I think the Moden Weapons Pack has a conflict of some sort with either another mod, or SMP in general. It is throwning an error related to data persistence when placing vehicles from that pack. I removed that pack and added FC Pack addon and was able to place vehicles from that. Might need to take the issue up with the Flan's group.

AetherPirate reacted to CanVox in TechnicPack.net is down !?!?!?!
This week has actually not been a great one from an uptime point of view. Our monitoring software is showing ~95% uptime and an average of 2 seconds of response time during the past 7 days. That includes like the middle of the night, early morning, when people are at school. Those stats sound good if you're not familiar with performance monitoring, but they're really, really bad. We've rooted out one of the problems last night and are going to be investigating further today. sct has ported the launcher API and put it up in NodeJS on a separate cluster of hardware, and we've released a Beta launcher that uses it. A lot of changes are happening underneath the surface so that you don't have to deal with terrible uptime like this again, and we think you're going to start to see the fruits of that this weekend.

    Then go do it better.

Seriously, the launcher is open source, the website is simple, and there are many hosting providers that are free to start with. So there is no reason for you to not prove the technic team incompetent fools by doing it better.
Unless, of course, you're not giving a fair assessment of the situation...

AetherPirate got a reaction from kemm7 in [Closed for now] [1.7.10] Lucki Craft - The way modded Minecraft should be played
Lucki Craft is the first server I've ever tried, and its been awesome. Players can build in peace and be undisturbed, if they wish. No one runs around shouting in all caps, and there's no drama. Its a nice, laid back place where people can hang out and build and chat. The admin is very receptive to player input, and responds to trouble quickly. I'd highly recommend this server to anyone who wants to play in a mature, totally non-griefing environment. Plus, the modpack is really cool, and it won't overwhelm older computers. Having fun, and learning new things, and sharing ideas is what this place is about.

When you first enter the deep dark, you are in a lit room, high above where all the good ores are. You could actually deploy quarries right here. They'll get lots of cobble first, but get to the good stuff eventually.

Go into the launcher, and set the console screen to run while the game runs. You might find useful info in there.

Did you know that a TE Nullifier can accept liquids?
Yes, you can pump out your quarry water to it. Put it directly on the BC pump - it's faster that way.
Remember to set the inputs on the sides you need.

AE construction gobbles up certus and nether quartz (and dusts), diamonds,, and gold like lemonade on a hot day.

But it's well worth it once built. AE crafting is an awesome thing too.

Plan on multiple, massive quarries to support this building.

You don't. Next you need to build lasers (need more diamonds, I'm afraid). Lasers are powered with RF. More lasers = faster crafting.

And put a chest above (next to?) your assembly table to collect your finished chipsets.
