Grim_Ascensions got a reaction from The_Doctors_Life in What qualifies a modpack for "Trending" page?
He didn't mean rate of update releases. He was referring to rapid increases in download and runs statistics in a short span.

So, madogdan, I have a question.
If you're disgusted with the moderation of this forum then why are you here?
Honest question. In the years I've been a mod here I've seen many people join with no other obvious purpose than to butt heads with moderators.

Are you hoping that by taking up "the good fight" you'll cause a sudden change in the community you know little about, and gain rewards from it? Expecting the owner to finally take notice and act like you believe they should. Cleaning away the rotten filth and rewarding you and others the vacant moderation positions as a token of their gratitude.

Or is this an attempt to compensate for perceived deficiencies in your real life? Take up what you see as an easy fight against the forces of oppression online as a proxy to your losing battle against unjustly oppressive parents/guardians/teachers/bosses in the real world. Use the easy wins against us criminally incompetent (and probably heavily brain damaged) moderators as a salve to sooth your bruised ego.

Oh, and somewhat unrelated. Proper paragraph punctuation is not to write a single run on sentence with comas where sentence breaks should go.
Like seating family at a table, the capital letter and period/exclamation point/question mark go at the ends to keep their little words in order. This way a casual observer doesn't mistake what little words belong to what sentence, and unruly words don't disrupt other sentences.

Grim_Ascensions got a reaction from CharZinta in Can't Download my own modpack, gives error after 3 tries.
I encountered the same error when attempting to download your modpack. It added the folders but they contained no files and attempted to download a 2nd time after reaching 100% status. Toss a direct link to the zip here in the this thread. Might give us more insight since the launcher seems to be having an issue with it.

Version 1.2 is officially launched and should be available to play now.

This update breaks save compatibility with previous versions.

    New Features:

-The Ars Magika 2 system for spells and rituals
-The ability to travel beyond the surface of the overworld and explore the moon, mars, and asteroids
-The first chapter of the questbook designed to help newer players and promote exploration

I don't mind as long as I'm given credit as the modpack author. A link to the technic page wouldn't hurt either. (shameless plug)

However, the 1.2 version of the modpack will be a substantial overhaul so you may want to wait. It'll offer a lot of new features that won't disrupt the balance or theme including a questbook, space travel, and balanced magic system. Because of the changes, it won't hold save compatibility. Not much I can do about it.

The update is mostly done at this point. I just need to build the first chapter or two of the questbook. I expect to have it ready within a few days. After that, any updates will be minor as I expand the questbook and make tweaks.
