Thanks for the info! I appreciate the time you take to help others a lot. I've seen you around the forums a lot. Anyways, thanks to everyone here really! The feedback only helps us make the pack better and more stable. In fact...we're almost ready to push out the final updates to keep it stable. Meaning no more mods will be pulled or added (at least according to my pov.) What I can say is we have a few fun crafting recipes coming soon, we just need to continue more testing and balance in a survival pov.

I remember we had some slightly negative feedback on how we enabled the Adminium Sword as loot. However the more you play this pack, the easier things just start to make sense. (cough cough, blood moons, cough cough, sticky bosses!) I do plan to make some videos in the future documenting the pack via all the fun features and some unique tweaks we added. A little something so people can easily just watch and have a good bit of questions answered. Seeing as a wiki may not be an option for us at this time. I rambled on a bit more than I was planning on, but once again thanks to all of you!!

Hey I decided to make a video because vanilla tools can no longer be crafted. You can view the video here. I felt obligated to make some documentation of the content in this pack due to myself being an assistant and supporter of it. Hopefully the video can clear up some stuff in the latest update oh the pack. More videos to come to help explain things here n there!

This post on creating a server from an existing custom modpack may help you:

Client only mods in this pack (as of 20150308 17:15:00EST): (tested with both Forge and Cauldron #1307 servers)
ArmorStatusHUD DamageIndicators StatusEffectHUD BackTools TiCTooltips WailaHarvestability Mods which should be removed (both client and server):
LegacyJavaFixer: This mod is not needed with versions of Forge for MC >= 1.7.10 #1230. Making the above modifications allowed me to launch the client and connect to a server for the pack.

Hmm we noticed issues like that, however we're gonna pull Railcraft from the pack. There is no way to really have that mod without some energy like EU and RF. Sadly it can't even support itself. For example the Rock Crusher cannot work on it's own without ic2 or AOBD installed. To me I find it very sad and upsetting. Good thing Tinkers does a good job with ore multiplying. I was just hoping the crusher could be used for bones/blaze rods but oh well. Quite a few mods will be pulled in the next stable update. To get a sneak preview, you can read up on the current build. Apologies for suddenly pulling mods! Hopefully this time a warning here and on the changelog is fair enough!

I know this was asked before and yes I saw the reply "build the files yourself" but could someone, anyone, offer a bit of tutorial or explanation on how to build the server files yourself??  I have the following issues or at least I think these are my main issues with my limited knowledge:

    1. I went to minecraft site and the minecraft server files for 1.7.10 are not even available.
    2. I can install this mod through the technic launcher and play it (which I have played many, many hours so far and am loving it!!!!!!) but not sure where to download the files from to add into the minecraft server install (assuming I could get my hands on the minecraft server 1.7.10 files).

I LOVE the direction this mod is going and even though I have NOT had the chance to play the "official" hexxit mod, from reading the mod list (and googling the mods) I am inclined to run and play this version of Hexxit only as I am not liking the direction the "official" mod is taking.  Honestly, this should be the official mod and the other one should be renamed to something else, but just my opinion.

Thanks so much for any and all help any can provide.

Since the official hexxit is ....postponed, and after reading tunnelrats review I tried out revisited. Had a lot of fun. Played for 8 hours straight. As previously mentioned, it's true to the original, with some twists (blood moon). Didn't crash at all. Good stuff, thanks for putting the pack together.

Thanks for all your feedback on the pack, it's all very much appreciated and helpful!

I'm kinda bummed about the loss of Battlegear, mostly as it added stuff that no other mods I can find seem to, but oh well.

Also, don't forget about JABBA Barrels and Storage Drawers for extra Storage! Bibliocraft shelves and armor stands and etc are also very helpful for storage, and display of all your stuff as well! I purposely didn't add iron Chests in here because it wasn't in the original, and because Better Storage is in here, and not many packs seem to ever have it, so I didn't want it to get ignored, and I just think the look and feel of Better Storage fits with Hexxit a lot more. There's also the Knapsack and Backpacks, you can store a lot in them and carry them on you!

Awesome!  I will check that stuff out!  Forgot all about Extra Utilities.
As far as all those vying for the official Hexxit title, to me it should really go to a mod staying close to the original... nothing wrong with some of these other mods in the least, but if they are a massive departure from the original, then they should probably come up with a new name hahahaha... to me, this is really capturing the essence of Hexxit!

I do read the changelogs, I just forgot that M&B and battlegear 2 were the same mod... also didn't actually know that the weapons tab was from that mod... live and learn, not like losing a few items is a big deal in Hexxit haha!

If I can help with anything, testing, wiki stuff, etc... let me know!

I saw this as an appropriate place to share. I have not seen any 1.7.10 pack for Hexxit that follows the legacy in my eyes, I have not played a pack that felt like Hexxit since the original Hexxit. I was starting miss the feel of Hexxit, I wanted to see it in 1.7, but I couldn't honestly find a pack that felt right to me, and seeing how the Hexxit name was passed off to someone else, and seeing Hexxit 2 hands on, I felt that since no pack I have seen for Hexxit in 1.7.10 appealed to me, that I'd just make my own from my own strong love and passion for the original, from the bottom of my heart. I wanted to bring back as many mods as I could, it's just not Hexxit without them! Adding more mods that fit into the style, more dungeons, more mobs, more weapons, more pretty things! I felt rushes of nostalgia and excitement as I tested my pack, it felt so good to have that Hexxit feel again after so long. I spent most of time time configuring the dungeons and towers so they'd be as rewarding and fun to explore as I could make them! Hexxit is all about exploration after all! I wanted to stay authentic to the feel of the original, from the often silly chest loot you'd find, to simply how everything looked, it was truly an experience to me in the beginning, and I wanted others to feel the same way.

To experience my Hexxit Revisit yourself, take a look here, or just look at some screenshots below.

I want this to remain open, after all, Hexxit is most fun with friends! Feel free to share in whatever way you wish, I just want as many people as possible to experience the joy of Hexxit in a new form, in a new version! Share the fun, share the adventure, share the magic!

As a note, if anyone has a crash report to share, please post it to Pastebin first and link it, or else it will be ignored.
