My Friend I have found the way

it seems like it keeps using java 11 by default, so we remove java in console

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove openjdk*

after this is completed its easy, ONLY install java 8

sudo apt install openjdk-8-jre

If this doesn't work for you please tell me. I hope it does tho

Hey I'm having trouble downloading Linux and I'm not sure what to do,

I have both jre and jdk 8 installed and updated

it starts and then stops and doesn't download any files

I'm just not sure what to do, her are the content of the log file

also I'm running the latest version of pop_os
