  1. You NEED to add the option too disable/enable clicking EE tools.

Many people don't want this feature disabled and it ruins the plugin for them. If a config file is too much, then at least give us an alternate download which does not have this feature.

    Thanks in advance :)

EDIT: Thanks for the plugin too. I can confirm that your fix works. I hope we'll be able to see an option without EE tools disabled!

  2. Hey guys,

If you weren't already aware, an issue exists with Tekkit where dispensers will crash the server once a redstone signal is applied to them. This has nothing to do with redstone or dispensers themselves, but rather Balkon's Weapon Mod. This is what you'll see, or something to this effect:

    at mod_WeaponMod.dispenseEntity(mod_WeaponMod.java:622)

    at BaseMod.dispense(BaseMod.java:85)

    at cpw.mods.fml.client.FMLClientHandler.tryDispensingEntity(FMLClientHandler.java:411)

    at alj.c(BlockDispenser.java:172)

    at alj.a(BlockDispenser.java:266)

I haven't done enough homework to know the story behind the dispenseEntity part of the mod_WeaponMod.class file, but it's pretty obvious that this is designed to alter the way dispensers work in order to allow vanilla dispensers to fire bolts and arrows etc., rather than just dumping them on the ground like a regular item. This is the issue that causes the crash - I don't know Java well enough to understand how and why this occurs, but I am capable of removing the code that causes it.

Of course, this means that dispensers will NOT shoot crossbow bolts and other Balkon's projectiles in the same manner as arrows. This is the best compromise, however, as allowing it results in server crashes and the only other feasible solutions are removing the mod or banning dispensers.

Disclaimer: Firstly, I apologise if a similar fix exists. I have scoured the internet and cannot find one. Secondly, use this edited mod at your own risk. I run it on my personal server and everything seems fine. Of course, feel free to run this on a test server to confirm that this is legitimate and safe. As always, BACK UP YOUR WORLD before using this .jar.

Message me for "BalkonsWeaponMod1.2.5.jar" either here or at [email protected] and I'll gladly send it! - Drop this into your mods folder and overwrite the original.

    Happy Tekkiting! :)

  3. Title: End of Stream appears in console and server appears as offline.

    Version: 3.1.2

OS: Linux, afraid I can't specify as it is an external host.

    Java Version: 7

    Description of Problem:

I discovered the other week that after a few hours, my tekkit server would suddenly appear as offline, showing the end of stream error in the console. The crashes would get more and more frequent until I decided to do a region fixer. This removed a lot of corrupted chunks, and the server ran fine for a day or so. The crashes then started again and have become more and more frequent. I'm thinking that it is not corrupted chunks causing the end of stream errors, but rather something else that happens to cause the corrupted chunks when the server crashes, as a nasty byproduct.

Having said that, the server does not fully "crash". It still runs, just showing as offline. I am able to execute console commands and stop it properly, but nobody can connect with this error until I restart and have to wait for it to happen again.

I have removed various mods that people claim to cause this issue but to no avail. Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this?

    The Rules:

    • Do not harrass or bully other players, be respectful. Everyone wants to have an enjoyable experience.
    • Do not deal with problems yourself, tell a staff member or report it. The last thing you need is to get embroiled in bad situations that could have been avoided.
    • Do not beg or demand for staff positions. We don't care if you're "from PlanetMinecraft."
    • Do not spam. This applies to the server and forums and includes caps, repeated posts and mashing the keyboard.
    • Do not advertise other servers. We respect your right to play wherever you want but please do not try and steal our community.
    • Swearing is allowed but do not abuse this privilege.
    • PvP and raiding is fully enabled in the Nether, End and Guest World. This does not apply to the main world, and using exploits to PvP other players is punishable.
    • Do not cheat. This includes duping, X-Raying, Flying using non-legitimate methods, cheat clients and working around the list of banned items.
    • YOU and only you are responsible for what goes on with your account. If it was "your cousin" who stole on your account, you will be banned. This is non-debatable.
    • Users may donate at any time on their own behalf or on the behalf of a friend. Donations are 100% non-refundable and actively sharing perks is prohibited. Donators must follow the same rules as everyone else and will receive no special treatment.
    • Griefing is not allowed under any circumstances. This includes taking from chests in unprotected areas. Do not do it. Again, the Nether, End and Guest world are exempt.
    • Try to be a productive member of the community and don't spoil the fun for everyone else!
